So who owns the history of Rangers pre-1899? Did that drown with Willie Wilton in the river?

The mere ideology that history is a commodity that belongs to anything is flawed. In fact, it's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things as history is the past.

Should Rangers FC continue to play in blue at Ibrox then that is the Rangers, they'll have the history of the club and all that entails. Sure, Timothy and chums will use "newco" as a dead cat to beat us with, but that will dilute over time.

Rangers - formed in 1872 for the love of the game.

    No one 'owns' history.

Rangers FC exist until tomorrow and then they will be no more. A new club will take its place.

The company changed from a private owned company to a PLC.

Therefore ALL of your history before 1994 was wiped. Correct?

    Celtic Football & Athletic Company Limited 1888 - 1994
    Celtic PLC 1994 - present

Greyfriars Bobby stayed loyal to his owner years after he died. A true Scotch icon if ever there was one.

These Huns so famed for their "loyal" proclamations have been shown to be the most disloyal fans in the history of football. Ready to throw their lot in with a new club before the corpse of their beloved Rangers is even cold.

    ****ing jokers.

History will remember it as the days when Scottish Football died and Jeanne finally forgot about the bullying at high school.

Ok let's make it simple. Celtic plc are responsible for celtics pre 2004 asserts and liabilities. Nothing was left in dispute in the old company so the history of that business continued as if it never changed. This can happen with new gers, but you'll have to take on the past debts if you wan the past glory? Will you do that? As Celtic had to? Nope

I don't support Company No. SC004276, incorporated in 1899, I support Rangers football club.
