Looks like that deal is done. £12m for Giroud. What's more interesting to me is this sentence: Wonder where that came from. Can't see it actually happening. Though it would be welcome.
Getting some business done early-ish... thank god. Not just what Giroud & Podolski can bring in terms of getting goals themself but the increased competition up top is great news for the team/fans.
Can't say I've seen much of him but at least you're getting your deals done early. If you start the 3 of them it might be tough to keep Walcott and Gervinho happy too so perhaps one will be leaving? Still wouldn't quite make sense to me, perhaps the reporter was trying to stress that he wasn't being bought as RVP's replacement.
Wow. Another player in before pre-season starts. Also, before people bring up the Chamakh comparison, this guy is far better in front of goal and has scored goals that Chamakh can only dream about.

I'll believe it when I officially see it on the Arsenal website, we have been told on countless occasions that we have signed this player, or that player, and it never happened.
Yup. Seems suspicious to me. None of Arsenal's players are really suited to playing 4-4-2 and I cant see them shifting Van Persie or Giroud out onto the wing when they've had so much success for their respective clubs playing centrally.
Nah - seems to me like the BBC are sensationalising a comment made by the Montpellier coach that negotiations are proceeding. I will believe it when I see it. He looks quite foxy in the boxy, personally I'd like to see him spearhead our attack - and finally be the person at the end of the crosses we put in, have RVP just behind him - not bothered who is wide if we play like that.
You never know, yes, maybe Arsenal want him, and have an agreed fee, but maybe their club president will just scupper the deal because he feels 13 million is too little (even I think we're getting a big bargain here with the price and his goals), and some other club will come in offering more money, and ****, just like that it's over. As Wenger has said, it takes 2 parties, 2 sides, and so many times deals have just fallen through even when everything's been going dandy, that's why Wenger is always so secretive and never announces anything until it's officially done and signed to the paper.
Interesting.. if he still plans to keep RVP maybe this signals a change of formation. Maybe Podolski just behind Giroud and RVP?
