I have never hidden the fact that I do not like Harry's media comments. He says too much and too often. All those that keep repeating; what is he supposed to say when results change every match and potential with it.

I'll tell you what he is 'supposed' to say; As little as possible!

Two areas for Levy to consider IMHO.

1.Based on results over the period of Redknapps stewardship it would be best to stick with him for at least the next season.

2.Based on almost everything else, his complete lack of diplomacy, his open mouth policy, his apparent tactical limitations, his interest in the Liverpool job when King Kenny was appointed, his 'public' interest in the England job. We need to replace him as soon as possible.

Let me be clear, I do not object to Redknapp wanting 'top jobs' or trying to cover his own arse, or even fighting for an improved contract. All these are legitimate targets for any one in the cut throat world of high finance football.

What I object to very strongly is Redknapp putting all this in the public domain.

Let's be honest if we hadn't had the blip and finished a comfortable third I would not be voicing these concerns, but as I said at least a couple of years ago I feel no loyalty to Redknapp I have no feel good factor about him as I did for example with Jol, or Venables or Burkinshaw or even Hoddle. For me IMO Redknapp has no leeway for error good results ok carry on any sign of a mess up, then get him out of here.

He uses us, we should use him!

He is not going to learn, he is what he is. A man who because of an expertise in a sport has found himself in a position that in many ways he is ill equipped for. A man without the savvy to recognise his own limitations.

He never will! Tact and diplomacy are alien concepts to him. All we need now is his critique of Hodgson's England, just to spice things up a bit.

He came pretty close to that last night as he gave a broad hint he would have made Scott Parker his captain and not Gerard.

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I actually thought it was quite disrespectful of him to mention the passing away of Levy's mother on national television.

Yes I imagine that could be quite painful for members of her family.

Recent months have really started to show another side to our Manager that I quite frankly don't particular take too kindly to.

Meanwhile, there's talk that David Moyes will walk if Leighton Baines is sold - at this rate, Levy will be watching that situation as keenly as Harry's next dozen media engagements...

  10. As I said earlier, there will come a time when every sensible Spurs fan comes to view Redknapp as a liability and an embarrassment to our great club.

Returning to the original subject of the thread, it appears only half of us want to keep Redknapp in place now. The rest are undecided with a small majority wanting Martinez over Ancelotti. Personally, I really can't see what credentials Martinez has that would make him a safe option. He would be a huge risk in my view and could take us backwards.

Unless an outstanding option comes along in the next few weeks, I think we have to stick with what we have for now. But I agree with Levy that a 3 year deal is not an option. After yesterday's comments,. Redknapp has played his cards and shows he has little, if no loyalty to our club. He may even walk.

I have a friend who is quite close to Tottenham and he seemed very confident that 'Arry walks (pissed off he was offered only 1 year and wanted 3 ?) and Moyes comes in.
Senior people at the club not happy 'Arry took his eye off the ball when the England thing was kicking around.
If true I expect you Tottenham fans will be happy enough.....

ill take that..infact i just got excited reading it.

Quite frankly even though some people on here keep on reminding me that we have had two top 4 finishes in the last 3 years...i have come to a stage where im not bothered about that anymore.

others are reminding me that the man coming in wont do as well..once again im not really that botherd.

If someone like Moyes came in..id be intrigued to see how he sets out this squad of ours..i think all this talk about..hes the kind of guy who can only work on a budget is kind of disrespectful..his teams always give Spurs a game!

they are tough..organised...and you will have bruised shins at the end..i am sure thats what we need to add to our flair...Moyes can do tactics..or put another way..he cant do any worse than HR does with tactics...as for man management being the key strength for HR..well we all know Moyes does wonders season in season out on a budget.

perfect for me as its quite draining this shadow that has been created by HR over my club...i feel like i need a fresh start....i want someone to come in and waken the enthusiasm up again...Moyes would be perfect.

Harry out and take your media circus with you....damn sick of it all....he behaves like hes having a sulk and moping around...always wanting to get his side across to the world...just fuk off and id say it to anyone who starts to come across toxic...Mourinhio,Modric anyone....take your 4th places with you too...take your man management aswell..im not botherd..i need some fresh air around my club!

Yes, I would agree. I think Moyes is a very shrewd, top quality manager who seems to get the best out of the resources he has at his disposal. Yes, his team can be defensive, but they are organised, tough to break down, and play to their strengths. I don't accept that Moyes doesn't know any other way to play. As I say, I think he works to bring out the strengths of what he has. And, a little bit more organisation, and resilience, wouldn't do us any harm at all. To be honest, I never believed that he would leave Everton. But, if he genuinely would consider making the move, I'd go for him.

Everton may have a reputation for defensive football, but they can play some good stuff when their first team is available. Besides, if Moyes works on our set pieces, we'll probably be 8-10 points better off as a result of it.

and Moyes looks like the kind of character who takes these finer details of the game seriously.

Redknapp to me seems like he doesnt have the patience for the intricate stuff...but we as a club deserve someone who does give a crap about these things...he doesnt seem to realise that we fans only have one input with regards HR....and that is the media..and me for one am quite sick of seeing him just shrug his shoulders or talk like he really cant be bothered when asked about Spurs...but ask him about England and he gets a hardon.

I think more accurately, Redknapp doesn't have a clue about set pieces - defending or attacking. I'm pretty sure goals conceded from set pieces last season were poor. Goals scored from set pieces also piss poor.

From what I have seen of his punditry he has little of interest to say. No insights into the play just bog standard comments that you might get from any fan. A number on here have more interesting observations to make.

    That tells you something.

I feel that Harry has done a good job for us over the last few seasons. However, we are now seemingly at an impasse. I would still maintain that our first choice 1X is as good as anybody in the Prem, except City. But, we're not playing to that potential, mainly, in my view because we are unnecessarily limited by Harry's lack of tactical nous. As has been pointed out, our set pieces are dire, our squad rotation poor, and as for playing the likes of Modric and VDV out on the wings....in short, " thanks Harry " but we need to maximise the potential of this squad. It's not happening under Redknapp.

Does anybody else on this board feel that a re-run of this poll may just results in a completely different set of voting results? Dear oh dear, what a week!
