Well there is a lot of youngsters and premier league reserve type players on that list. We obviously ain't signing Drogba.

The ones in bold are the ones that catch my eye, some of the above mentioned have already signed for other clubs eg. Carson (Bury) and Jaaskelinen (West Ham), others are in talks with their clubs (Pogrebnyak) or are in talks with other clubs (Diame, Andrews, Hill), league clubs don't **** about when it comes to free transfers so the list is a tad old. The ones I highlighted are the ones I think could improve our squad. Can't believe Bolton released Steinsson or Klasnic, both would walk into any Championship side.

Gai Assulin would be a fantastic signing on a free, he'd fill the gap left by Brady/King and wouldn't cost a penny.

They're not all Premier League standard, nor likely to demand Premier League wages. Some far from it. Are you seriously suggesting that people are getting carried away by considering the likes of Gavin Hoyte, Oumare Tounkara and James Spray? Yes some are unrealistic, but they're listed because they're available, not because the OP believes every single one would want to join us/accept lower wages.

Assulin as said above would be a fantastic signing but I can't see it, if Barcelona and Man City have both given him a go then he must at least have something about him to get snapped up by Norwich or someone.

There are plenty who would do a good job for us. So many quality players going free.

A few handy players in there but, not many would suit our style of play. No point signing players just because they're free. I'd say only the west brom boys would be worth a punt.

What are the chances we can reunite the prolific Heskey-Owen partnership?
