No comparison really... RJtheElder proved himself as a great goal scorer against virtually any club in the League...

Glad the things are working out Yorkie<ok> Will this mean that you will get more time to tidy up that vineyard of yours?

A very interesting day rubbing shoulders with the French aristocracy. The chateau was raised to the ground at one point by the Black Prince, but rebuilt and enlarged over the centuries. It has been owned by the same family for over 800 years, but it is beginning to look a bit sad when you see the work that needs doing to the inside. A few years ago you could buy a chateau for next to nothing, which quite a few Brits did, but the costs of restoration and maintenance are huge, so many ran out of cash and retreated back to the UK with fingers severely burnt.

There is a moated chateau in a village near here that has had millions spent on it mainly provided by the state. The pay back for the state is that it must be opened free of charge to the general public one day a year. This day is supposed to be advertised, but the Parisian owner puts up a tiny notice in the village bar to say that she is open, but the notice is always so late in going up that hardly anyone knows about it.

True - not many can say they scored a hat trick against the then European Champions. ;) Should have been picked to play for England alongside Luther IMO.

Morning all, sunshine and showers this morning. Went to buy some bread and the road was dry in places and wet in others. Very strange weather for us. :(

Done a quick search around all the likely places that you might expect to find a rumour or two and there is nothing. All too quiet and this could be a long summer if you can call it that.

Don't know where that picture of me came from, must have been taken years ago. <laugh>

Afternoon all - dry day in West West, so I expected the hose-pipe ban to be reinstated!

Salisbury - Cork is on 24th July

there's a fair few going by the sound of things.

w-y got a very unhelpful answer from WFC this morning!

    Official #watfordfc ‏@wfcbadgemoose

@WatfordFCnot606 Can't speak for Cork City FC, 606, but I'm sure they'd appreciate knowing you're coming by you buying in advance.

So..no answer on the 'tickets on the gate' question i'm afraid!

Well I need to find out if it is convenient for my friend for a visit, as I will be staying with her (or near hers) but once I buy the flight ticket, I'd buy the match ticket too!

I have a price to get to Cork. GBP2399,- and I have to get to Keflavík first. The travel is Keflavík Schipol Cork and Cork London Manchester Keflavík.

    I will not see you.
