------------Heskey -- Zigic Jovanovic - Poulsen - Barry - Rodriguez Aurelio - Squillaci -- Caldwell - Gohouri ----------------Almunia Subs: Fabianski, S.Campbell, Delap, Gibson, Diao, Ireland, Ngog
To be honest I think Knight's done alright since joining Bolton, and doesn't make the glaring errors Squillaci makes. Lucas hasn't been great, but I'd say he's a limited player rather than a bad one - he plays ok when he has a clear role and doesn't have to show much initiative. But you can't put him in the PL worst XI when there are worse midfielders in the Liverpool squad!
Joe Cole and Maxi. Based on their performances this season, when they should be in the best part of their careers, they are much worse!
Maxi Rodriguez was the first name on my worst XI team sheet, I almost put him on twice to show how bad I think he really is
Excuse me... selective reading there. If that's the case you're not far off at all. I'd move Peter Loverkrands and Sol Campbell in there though.
--------------Carson---------------- Cathcart--Stam--Kyriagos--Bridge -----------Poulson--Tonge--------- Boa Morte---J.Cole--------Bebe-- --------------Sidibe---------------- Think that is a pretty awful team.
Nah, Almunia is just an average goalkeeper who isn't good under pressure but somehow ended up at a top club. Carson is pretty poor for a top level keeper but his mistakes aren't highlighted as much because there is less of a spotlight on West Brom.
And Cathcart's better than Squillaci And Bebe's in our reserve team...isn't this the worst first team players?
I thought Bebe was regarded as in the first team because he had played in the champions league? Don't know about Squillaci, he went through a really really bad spell a while ago but he wasn't too bad before that and has been decent since.
Squillaci's decent, but whenever you see him play he looks like he's going to make an error. And I think that rubs off on the players around him - not what you want in a centre back. I'd say him and Cathcart are probably around the same level, but Squillaci is way more error prone. I suppose you could say Bebe's been in the first team, but then he's scored the same number of goals in seven appearances this season that Joe Cole has in 14. And when you consider how inexperienced he is and how many basic concepts he still needs to learn, it's hard to say he's worse than Cole or Maxi.
Why would he be in that XI? He's a poacher not a playmaker, he's paid to find space in the box and finish the chances that the rest of the team create and he's done that as well as anybody this season for club and country, and considering this is his first season coming from the Mexican leagues that pretty impressive.
Basing what I have seen of Bebe then you have been conned. He does not look like a football player at all sometimes, i wouldn't be surprised if he had never played on a full size pitch before. With Maxi and Cole they may be totally ineffective but they still show signs of being skilled (e.g. can control a football easily, are capable of using their weaker feet etc), Bebe on the other hand does not seem to have mastered the basics. Fair enough this is his first season in any type of top level football, he may feel he is under enormous pressure and he is still adjusting to a new country but that doesn't change the fact he has been ****e when I have seen him. Of course he may prove me wrong and become a good player but i'm just basing this on his performances.
