Let's all hope they have to start again from the bottom. If they were allowed to remain in the SPL as a newco it would encourage others to go down the same route. Interesting times at Rangers.

Let this be a warning to all English football clubs.

I believe that the other SPL clubs have to decide whether to allow them back in the SPL.

I'm not sure whether it has to be a consensus, or a majority vote. Either way, it will be very interesting what they choose to do.

Aluko at the right price would do us a good job in the championship. We may as well benefit from this mess i guess.

Indeed they should. Or at least be dropped to Div.3 the bottom tier and have to stay there for a minimum period of time. (ie.3 years). Also a thorough and complete investigation needs to be undertaken IMO as to what a club as big as Rangers have got themselves into such a mess. Where has all the money gone and should the Police be involved ? It will take something like this to finally make all others think twice. Ive said for ages that Administration should mean automatic relegation nevermind a 10pts deduction. My hope is that this will come into play and soon.

A warning to all clubs i would say. I bet there are many clubs now sweating big time. Rangers wont be the last either.

Apparently it needs a majority of at least 8 to 4. But, amazingly it seems that some of the clubs will vote to let the 'new' Rangers in because of the impact on the commercial appeal of the SPL if the Old Firm rivalry isn't there..........

If the other clubs have to vote I'd imagine they'd let them back in. The Rangers fans bring in alot of ticket revenues to the other clubs during Ranger's aways games. Also the little TV money they get would diminish if there were no Old Firm games in the SPL.

Why have Rangers only got assets of £5.5 million to sell to the new company? Who owns Ibrox? What about the players?

Will the 'newco' still be called Rangers and will they be starting with no players or staff?

    I'm a bit confused!!

Out of interest Pompey have offered 2p in the pound which I think is outrageous. I personally dont think it will be accepted given the fact that many of the people owed from the last CVA havnt received a penny as yet. I think that CVA was in the region of 15-20p if I remember rightly. I reckon a few will not vote for it and if that is the case they could very easily go down the swannie.

The whole Silly Pointless League could get liquidated and I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

I may get slagged for that statement but I honestly couldn't give a flying ****.
At least this should put an end to all this nonsense about them and Celtic joining the English league
If it was up to me I'd bin off Swansea and Cardiff as well.

    End of rantlet.

I imagine that this would increase the chances of Celtic joining the English league.
