It is being reported on the BBC site that this was known by Duff and Phelps yesterday.

I can't wait to see how he'll manage this trick.

Glasgow Rangers I suspect, but that would be like people calling their kid Adolf Hitler.

    Does he have £5.5m?

He wanted to get Rangers through a CVA so he could get the club by LENDING the club £8.5m plus interest. Now he'll have to put up the £5.5m

Don't be surprised if he walks away.

After so much sheite pedalled constantly by the Daily ****** (believed by the gullible) and D&P ripping these morons off every sentient person could see that no-one would accept their liability.

Wearrapeepil : but they did not wanted to be treated like people did they? Punished like normal people, no more like "wearraubermench".

Utter delusional spastic ****etalk which of course they will gobble up like the good little cap doffing arse lickers. Hands up who didn't see this exact scenario coming to pass?

I wonder what further sanctions the SPL will hit rangers with?

To do a newco you need to exit administration without agreeing a CVA. That cost leeds a 15 point penalty in 2007 and saw darlington relgated 4 leagues for it.

2 tainted titles in a row!

Remains to be seen. If they vote to keep us in the SPL there will be heavy sanctions. SFA releasing a statement shortly I just heard.

regardless of what the chairmen say i think its an absolute certainty they will vote to keep you in. Why even bother with the sanctions though, you are about to lose the majority of your squad for nothing.

i was certain of this a couple of months ago, now I am not so sure. Do they still need to get their audited accounts in by the end of this week?

There is also the investigation into dual contracts to come plus whatever sanctions are thrown at them for bringing the game into disrepute

however, even if they stay in with no sanctions there is 3 years of no euro football, a decimated squad, nobody willing to invest serious money. they are ****ed either way

Leeds did agree a cva. Leeds were sold as a going concern in admin. Rangers are to be wiped out.

Rangers cannot be hit with more penalties as they will no longer exist.

We'll be a newco. But still us.

I know I won't consider a newco to be anything other than Rangers football club. What Celtic fans think about that is another matter altogether and altogether unimportant.

What about fans of other teams, not to mention the relevant bodies etc who deal with the old 'history' side of records and suchlike? I fully accept that being myopic is a bun trait, but i always thought you were one of the less blinkered buns kicking about.

I know that if it was Celtic in Rangers' place, I would view a newco as just that: a new company. Hence the name, and all that jazz.

Do you really think I'm going to consider a Rangers newco as not being Rangers? Who should I go and support then?

As for the history, the relevant governing bodies may well say that Rangers history stopped and that Rangers newco start a new one. So whit?

I'll be perfectly happy to add Rangers Version 1 titles to Rangers Version 2. <laugh>

Only thing about that, Gambol, is that Rangers V2 might well not be in a state to win a trophy for a couple of decades.
