Hopefully we can make a move on Billy Sharp http://www.footballtransferleague.co.uk/football_player.aspx?football_player=Jay Rodriguez
Good signing for Saints and will replace David Connelly who they have now released. Saints with Lambert - Sharp - Guly Do Prado and now Rodriquez in the squad, they should have enough to stay in the PL, just. imo. No chance. Southampton are going to need all the fire power they can muster. Nor I. Robert Snodgrass should be another imo who Steve Bruce goes after. We did the donkey work on this deal back in Jan. Perfect for the left wing for us and TWS need the cash.
What do you know about this Tickler? You've mentioned it a few times and I'm wondering if it was one of the more secret deals that we didn't manage to complete in January. Speaking to Burnsy a while ago he suggested there were a few that never became public knowledge.
We weren't in for Snodgrass, Leeds had already rejected £3.5m from Norwich last season, they want £5m for him and he wants a Premier League move, he'll probably end up at Everton.
Yes we were in for Snodgrass and the deal was done. I got told about this deal by a couple of people and Burnsy was indeed one of them. Problem was that the Allams would not sign off on it. What happens now is open to debate. Nobody will pay much for Snodgrass as he enters his final year. Snoddy may end up staying at Leeds and going where he likes next summer. TWT as always. Burnsy actually confirmed it about Snodgrass on his morning show a few weeks ago. Now its only my own theory, But i think that maybe the Allams lost faith in both AP and NB to deal with big money deals. Examples...AP for instance failed miserably over the Dele Adebola deal and Jay Simpson was way over paid what he was worth. Yes you are also correct in other deals going west and not happening in Jan for various reasons. That debate has been well worn out and we move on now. Certainly i feel the next few weeks are going to be interesting. It would also be nice to see what kind of Pre-Season fixtures list we shall have. What date for the Winterton game as an example ? How about York City away again (if we dont get them in thursdays COC Draw) for another. Lets have Newcastle back down here @ the KC on 4th August if possible ?
PSG have joined Man U in pursuit of Spurs' Luka Modric, apparently being prepared to pay £30m. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...urs-and-paper-review-–-tuesday-june-12-174203
Man Utd also looking to sign Leighton Baines from Everton. Poor Everton who are also fighting to keep hold of Fellaini who is wanted b y Chelsea and Tim Cahill who is wanted in the far east. Cahills final Big pay day maybe ? ? ?
When your not good enough to play for a team that wins trophies and your days are numbered i would agree. Dont expect to see the likes of Rooney, Messi, Ronaldo etc etc to be going over there anytime soon regardless of what is offered.
Ok sorry. Mis-read you. To be honest i thought Tim Cahill is at least 2 years from being ready for his final pay day. Then again he would be going closer to home.

I reckon West Ham might perform better than QPR next season, so I have no idea why he's done that. £££ I guess.
