Rangers won't die, the plc will. Plenty of clubs have and will go through this method. There was a Rangers long before the plc and there will be a Rangers after.
Fiorentina was a complicated one - they became a new club "Fiorentina Violas" then, a few years later were taken over by someone different who, I think, basically, purchased (not purchased but money was exchanged) the old club. I think. If this is to happen to Rangers, you'll need to wait at least a couple of years, I think. In short, aye, naebody knows.

HMRC saying the want liquidation so they can do a full 10 year investigation into past owners and board members and their aversion to paying tax. This isn't over by a long shot and you can probably add Murrays knighthood to the list of titles getting stripped.
For all the bashing of Whyte (and probably now Green) it's that **** who has shafted Rangers in all this. I'm a bit torn by this today. Feel sad for the friends I have that work for Rangers, and are gonna get shafted for their jobs. The flip side is, I don't remember anyone from down Ibrox way crying much about us nearly going down the ****ter in the 90's while they were racking up 9IAR. Therefore I shall shed one tear, whilst tasting my champagne ice cream tonight... Bring on 10TTIAR!
