How would everyone line up today against France. I expect alot of different line ups here

    I would go with

    Hart

    Johnson
    Terry
    Jagielka
    Cole

    Young
    Gerard
    Parker
    Chamberlain

    Carroll
    Defoe

    Hart

    Johnson - Terry - Lescott - Cole

    Parker - Gerrard

    Milner - Young - Chamberlain

    Welbeck

Although Roy will probably go for Downing instead of the Ox.

I hope he does go for that more flexible 4-2-3-1 rather than a rigid 4-4-2 because we tried that in the 2010 WC and just got outplayed by teams who had 3 in the middle like France will. You need more fluidity at International level.

Also picked Milner ahead of Walcott because he's more industrious and in this particular game, I think Theo would have most impact from the bench.

Wizard - I would go with your line up but suspect that Roy will not be that brave in the first game so will go for James 'average but reliable to do an all round average job' Milner in place of the Ox ... more's the pity.

    Hart
Johnson (Can't believe no Richards though!) - Jagielka - Lescott - Cole
    Gerrard - Parker
    Walcott - Young - Oxlade-Chamberlain
    Welbeck

Would love to see Terry dropped, but this is more wishful thinking than anything

Matt Lawton's tweeted the whole team now:

    "Matt Lawton ‏@Matt_Lawton_DM
So, Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole; Milner, Gerrard, Parker, Ox-C; Young; Welbeck."

    Not bad I think

Would rather Walcott than Milner out wide. It's not that Milner's not a good player, really rate him, just think he's better centrally to bring on for a bit of muscle. Would also consider Downing at least for a little left-sided balance. But otherwise nice to see a gamble with Oxlade-Chamberlain, one of the most exciting English talents for years!

Wheres everyone going to watch the game.

    Home, Pub, mates?

I think its stupid they wont be screening the game on the big tele in town. The council say it will cost too much but whats the point having the tele if we not going to use it.

Me i have got a few beers in and am going to watch it at home

    Come on England

The company I work for is going to show it on a big screen in the office - not a bad gesture but it also ensures that many people won't now either bunk off or leave early ....

I'll be leaving work at 4-30, hopefully home around 5-40, at which stage I'll be switching the DVD player on and watching the game 'live', just 40 minutes behind the rest of the country. Just hope nobody phones and tells me the score. I could confuse the neighbours by cheering for goals out of step with everyone else.

    Back from the Pub.

    My assessments of the game are;

-Welbeck and A O-C looked very good and could potentially be future stars for England.

-I thought Milner is a donkey.

-I wonder how the **** Johnson got in the side.

-Lescott was ****e until he scored.

-Cabaye is a filthy **** but still ran the midfield.

    -Happy with a point.
