Torres got into two really good chances, and almost made a third in the 15 or so minutes he was on. Should have finished better but still, I don't understand why Spain went for 6 midfielders and no strikers. IMO Torres' chances showed that they needed to start with a striker.

    I won't even ask this time! <laugh>

To be fair such a poor goal to concede, really not like the, don't see them coming to the part with the goods.

But my bet on Croatia being the underdogs for the tournament is still a good bet!

    Like the look of Croatia.

Clear to see a few of their players are just a cut above most of the Irish lads.

They look decent going forward to me.

I've put some massive bets on and one is a whole £3 on Jelavic to be top scorer at 65's.

I've also got £3 for Croatia to get to the final at 16's and £3 for them to win it at 50's.

So if Croatia do win it( long shot but you never know) and Jelavic is top scorer I'll bag about £400.

Some may feel the need to mock my punts but I just have a gut feeling it won't be one of the' big boys' who win it.
My tip for the US Masters was dismissed as a dud and look what happened with that.

Saying that my history of football betting is rank.

Croatia only looked good because they were playing one of the worst sides in the Euro. They won't make it even to the second phase.

Sadly i agree with you. ROI were very poor defensively and that cost them the game. Whoever wins the Italy v. Croatia game will follow Spain out of the group. At least the ROI fans are having as ball.

ROI need Paul McShane in for the next game. ;) :emoticon-0116-evilg

After Hollands loss they are now at 15/1 on Betfair (yes even England are more highly favoured) to win the tournament. Worth a tenner of anyones money!

There is some pace there, but I'm a bit worried about Oxlade-Chamberlain, I thought he was really poor against Belgium.

I know I'm going on a bit about him but I read that 41 of Jelavic's last 44 goals have been scored with his first touch. That includes a run of 27.

    That's some finishing that is.

This isn't a go at Fryatt as I rate him but that's a stat that should maybe brought to his attention.

Ball comes to you and hit it first time. Simples.
