:emoticon-0116-evilg Not about to go on a history rant here, so let me briefly say that Scotland has been in alliance with France for a lot longer than it has been part of the UK (which of course, history will tell you that thanks to the failure of the Darien scheme, we had no option but to join - bit like the bailout for Greece). That's my story & I'm sticking to it!

I'm the same with Scotland - the sooner they get their independance and they tighten up the border controls the better - keep the buggers out....Bloody jocks cry about independance one day and then then want their crappy teams to transfer to the English divisions the next!

Hope Rangers go bust and hope that Murray never wins another fookin tennis match in his life!

There - that's got that off my chest!

Love it Tommy! As a Partick Thistle fan (my first love), and avid hater of all things old firm, I personally would love them to join the english leagues - ONLY TO WATCH THEM FAIL!!! Oh Joyous days! Please let it happen.

I'm sure that should read Partick Thistle nil as a name. That said, we love the Scots really, especially when they travel as the Tartan Army. Very good value when they came to Lituania a couple of years ago. Apart from having to deal with requests from a load of local females asking if I'd seen a red haired chap called Jimmy, reckoned he loved her!!!

Although I would not call it optimism, I prefer the fact that we are not signing the same old journeymen this season.
I am starting to expect a mid a table finish is the best we can achieve but if we do that using our home grown kids it would be better than what I expected a week ago...

Come on England, do we expect to see Mr Milner starting tonight.?

I actually met Andy Murray once on account of having gone to the same high school (albeit he left the year I arrived) and his dad was married to one of my sister's friends, and he was a very nice guy, down to earth and a good laugh. Almost the polar opposite of how he comes across in interviews.

I was in Lithuania with the TA for that match. Flew Ryanair from Edinburgh. Everyone stood apart from takeoff & landing, even though we had lots of horrible turbulence (Every other airline makes you sit down - Ryanair encourage you to drink more!). Was just like a bar - packed with boozing Jocks. Fantastic atmosphere.
