I like all the pitches for the community and the academy, great to see focus on them, we could actually produce a player even better than Nigel Quashie!
didnt realise they would use that many pitches, good to see the size of them are relative to the ages. Lets hope we get a site plan like that for a stadium soon.
Thank you, Northolt. Interesting. I wonder whether the open space on the left is ours and if so, what it's been reserved for.
Wow and to tjink I once played hockey there. Didn't look at all like that as said before very Premier League
Being a an architecture student I love looking at these sort of drawings. Thankyou Northolt. It seems to be a very community encompassing project with the several community pitches. I do like the design for the building - it is building one but clearly has a totally private area for QPR attached to a community indoor facility for use by both QPR and the public.
Thanks Northolt, very interesting. Sends shivers down my spine when i see things like this and have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. We've definately moved on from the days of 'collection buckets'
Spot on Staines When TF took over he said he would build our club from the bottom up (get the building blocks in place) then we will move forward. He has done just that. Our club is doing good things and it won't be long before these clowns that mock us will look at us with envy. This new training ground will be 'state of the art' and it will be another thing to tempt quality players to QPR. Once the new stadium is done and dusted we will all look back with a smile.
It certainly looks good. My only comment is that the ptches seem so close together reminding me of Wormwood Scrubs in the 50's and 60's. If your team could not afford a net there was a good chance of being whacked by a shot from the pitch behind. I remember keeping goal in one game (the short straw) and while crouching to save a penalty I got hit on my backside. luckily the taker was so surprised he missed. This is the first step in getting local lads playing for our club. It shows how the board are determined to push our club forward.
I think we can afford some netting or fences. I cant remember playing without nets but I do remember playing at the local sports centre where the pitches were cut out of a big hill, one side youd have a 30 foot high bank and the other side would be a 30 ft drop. It was easy to timewaste but youd have to be careful slide tackling in the wet.
Looks great - I especially like the two "Loftus Road" sized pitches. Although..... what happens when we move to a new ground? Do we need to make sure that the pitch dimensions are exactly the same size as Loftus Road?
