    Toon’s Dutch keeper has been linked with moves to Chelsea or Tottenham after a brilliant season with the Geordies.

    But Krul, 24, said: “It’s all just talk. I’ve signed my five-year contract and I’m committed to Newcastle United.

    “The club has not played in Europe for six years and I want to be a part of that.

    “This club deserves European football. We’ve got everything, the stadium, the fans — and an owner in Mike Ashley who’s backing us.”

    I think it was Souness who bought Krul here when Tim was 17 - he's certainly waited long enough for his chance and I believe that he's happy here <cheers>
