I'm going to talk about this in detail, the modern day player ain't bothered about playing the game, all he's worried about is his bank balance, its sad but true, gone are the day when players stay at one club for over 20 years, i'm close to disliking football which is not in my nature, i've grown up with it in my life, its like one minute they say - '' i want to stay at the club'', to ''i want a fresh challenge,'' in other words they want more money, and i'll give you the perfect example, Eden Hazard joined Chelsea this week for £32 million pounds that's £3 million pounds more Liverpool paid Newcastle for Andy Carrooll, anyway, back to Hazard, he said that us and Chelsea are ''projects'', what a load of crap that is, i'm sorry but he's insulted the greatest club in the world with that insult, we've won the premier league title more than our rivals put together and we've won the Champions league more than his new club has, its players like him that are trying to hate football which i don't want to do, I want players that have supported the club or who want to play for us not for the money but they come far and few between, we won't see players like Scholes and Giggs again or Xavi and iniesta its sad but that's the reality of the modern game.

Football has changed alot since i began watching it, there's alot more time-wasting and diving in most games and it gets annoying, also there's more two-footed tackles these days as well, i know Referee's have a hard job on their hands but some of them want the spotlight, want to be noticed, they should get on with it and do their job properly, agents are getting inviolved more as well which annoys me the most, for example Paul Poba gave an interveiw to MUTV a couple of months ago saying he was happy at United and wanted to be a legend like Eric Cantona, now it looks he's going to be joining Juventus who are involved in the alleged match-fixing scandal in Italy, the agent must've told Pogba to join them because he gets alot of money, he's not bothered about if he's happy at the club, all he cares about is the money and football is changing for the worst in my opinion, we're going to be seeing more agents taking more money out of the game and young players leaving clubs because of lack of first team opportunites or because of more money, i've felt like this since when Rooney threatened to leave us in 2010, he was saying how happy he was at the club and the next thing he wanted to leave, i think that was down to the agent in my opinion, but he did sign a 5 year contract, despite saying the club lacked ambition, again i think his agent told him to say that, i doubt Rooney would ever say the things he said in that statement, also last week Nani said he wants to leave the club, why ? he's 25 years old, in his prime, maybe he's doing it to get better wages, i hope he stays, on his day he can ebcome the best winger in the world.

Another thing that annoys me about the modern game is when agents use clubs to get their player's better contracts, why do it, its frustrating, and fans believe it, i wish there was no agents around in the modern game, i remember a few months ago Antonio Valencia sacked his agent and he said he didn't want one, my respect for him has gone up, maybe Giggs or Scholes told him to do it, i hope they did, i wish players wouldn't have agent these days but it seems like they are here for the long run which is a shame.

While there is loads of nonsense and essentially made up stuff in this the basis is correct. Footballers are indeed ****s nowadays.

The days of the likes of Giggs, Scholes and Carrragher are long gone. The likes of City are the main culprits for handing silly money to players.

agreed, football is going to be sad when 2 of our ''golden oldies'' retire, i can see more arabs buying small clubs and trying to make them big clubs, look at PSG they signed Pastore for a lot of money last summer, and they still lost out on winning the league to Montpellier who spent less than them.

You honestly think UEFA will have the balls to kick the likes of Barca and City out of the champions league?

Agree that there is no loyalty but I imagine they all started playing football in the first place because they like the sport, they didn't turn 4/5 and think I'm going to play football to get rich. it just sucks none of them care which shirt that are putting on.

True, when we were growing up, players wanted to win things, now they are more concered about how much they are getting paid which is the way football is going today.

Barce no, but I wouldn't rule out City being used as an example to show they mean business with the FFP.

Yep, it was largely a load of bollocks. Whilst money is a factor in a player making a move to a club, trophies also play a large part. Hazard was a bad example, had you said Nasri, Tevez or even Rooney for what he did last Jan they would've suited the frame better.

Because there are much bigger mercenarys out there like the ones I mentioned who were already at big clubs.

Now why is Hazard a good example? Because he chose the club who won the most trophies in the Premier League?

In all honesty,if it, weren't Chelsea an City throwing large sums of money around it would have been another club. Football's changed for the worst due to the large amounts of money in the game. A typical Chelsea fan now is a banker, a Utd fan is a tourist,Arsenal fans need a loan for a season ticket. Football is no longer a sport an is more a business/investment which is why FFP rules are supposed to be coming into play.
I don't blame the players. If you were offered £80 grand a week at Utd or £150 grand to play at some"project",a vast majority would choose the latter.

Sorry ammaar but absolute bollocks, it would've been worse if he joined had we not won the Champions League, I can almost guarantee there was not much difference between what the three of us offered, no media source is ever correct when it comes to wages.

As for whoring himself out, it's the
most unprofessional I've seen a player do and the way he went about his trasnfer was stupid, I agree with you there.
