I agree about Terry Northolt. Micah Richards would have been in my squad too. He'll probably start with your formation but play Wellbeck instead of Carroll. Actually, I don't know why I've just contributed to this thread.. England just does not excite me at all. Adam Johnson should be there too.. I mean Downing for goodness sake!
Hart Johnson Lescott Jagielka Cole Parker Walcott Young Gerrard Welbeck Defoe Playing Defoe as he's the only real goal scorer in the squad. Chances will be hard to come by so we need someone who can have 1 shot and score from it rather than contribute in fancy build up play.
Same defence as Northolt, same midfield too but Chamberlain instead of Downing, and then Welbeck instead of Carroll

I used to follow England a lot in the 80's and 90's, hardly missed a game. So I apologise in advance, but after the last couple of tournaments and the disrespect shown by senior players towards representing their country, the FA, squad selection politics and having Terry, Cole and Young represent us......England...not in my name I'm afraid. I couldn't give a monkeys about them.

Yeh as said on other threads anyone active on this forum should be issued with a white coat! Ideally myself I'd get rid of passports, visas, immigration laws, borders, nationalities, customs, foreign offices, world nations cups, european nations cups, local currencies, national flags, and issue one membership: Global Person. Then we could play and beat Boca Juniors in the last 16 of the World Cup for Clubs.

If Downing starts then I'm emigrating. Must start with Welbeck and, ideally, Oxlade-Chamberpot to keep a hint of the unexpected IMO.
Agree about Downing...he is absolute toilet. Col's side looks good...Jones could do a good job protecting the back 4 with Parker. Pace down both wings...Gerrard supporting. Shame Adam Johnson isn't there...would have him instead of Walcott.
