How many times did you see Bendtner play through the middle then? He spent more time on the wing than a ****ing Common Swift?

But he was fantastic at clearing corners! Maybe had he played at our place he'd have headed that free kick out and we'd have got a point!

Mmmmm! So we should buy a striker not for his pace, movement or ability to create havoc in the oppositions 6 yard box and score goals but rather on the ability to defend corners in our own box.

Maybe we should look for a centre half that can knock in 20+ goals a season and be sorted?

    Neither.

If we get Fletcher, and this would be my number one target this summer, you will see what a proper targetman should do. He works his socks off for the team and wades in with his fair share of goals. He will defend corners and attack the opposition box.

    That's what I want.

Aye because the midfield never bombed forward whilst he held the ball up, he had no option than to drift out wide taking the markers with him. Why so many backpasses? simple no option forward. And Stéphane Sessègnon, good player that he is, would far to often run at players than make a killer pass and end up getting closed down. Bentner was a victim of O'Neils tactics and lack of central pace/creativity. Would any player in there right mind play a ball near the goal to, a) Cattermole to do a 'high wide and handsome' or b) Gardner to be 'ball hypnotised'?
