Got two in this household as well - my daughter's tomorrow & mine on Sunday. I had a little smile to myself today when one of the girls in my class - after me telling them that I would be 21 - told me that it was her father's birthday on Sunday too, but he was a lot older then me because he was turning 40.
Nice one BB - had a nice result there..I would put that in my back pocket! It's my Mum's today (8th June) but sadly she slipped away from me 22 years ago...mine on the 9th, so looks like i share it with your daughter - she must be an angel as well! Us Gemini's are a bit special! and hope you have a great birthday as well...
Morning all Just to report that Nos and Mapps both played the full match in Jamaica's World Cup qualifier last night: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/prelim...tches/round=258368/match=300181878/index.html Will playing in a competitive game as opposed to just friendlies push Mapps value up?
Morning all, a good start to the day with sun and light cloud, but the wind had dropped after three days. Off out for the day with the family, so a day of rest from the tasks, if you can call three small persons restful. Tomorrow is Father's Day out here and all of the garages are staying open to try and sell you a new car. Last week it was Mother's Day and Mme. received her bouquet of flowers. I wonder if I will get a gift wrapped new car?
Morning all from a breezy bandit country...looks like my drawing Russia in the sweepstake is not looking too bad after all! The bubbles were unlucky last night..
Sun put in a brief appearance this morning so grass cut and now awaiting visitors before this evening's 60th party for Mrs H's brother. It's a 70s theme but I'm claiming it's too long ago for me to remember what anyone was wearing then...
Went to cut the grass but the mower would not start. Took the carb apart and cleaned the fuel filter and it starts but does not regulate the throttle so the mower is in the mower hospital - still it means I can start celebrating earlier!
Found something 70s to wear...a t-shirt with 4 candles on the front (Ronnie Barker and Ronne Corbett 1976), white jeans and a white jacket. Wish I still had the long hair to go with it...
That would've been easy for me - I spent most of that decade wearing board shorts and very little else. Would'nt paint a pretty picture these days though.
aw, i loved the '70s...minis, midis and maxis and flowly blouses with huge collars...loads of flowers left over from the 60's and girls and boys at school having similar hair styles! Happy days Afternoon all!
There's a lot to envy about China at the moment: unprecidented economic growth and technological advancement, improving very quickly at most sports, not to mention some beautiful historic sites and impressive modern buildings. Of course there's some bad stuff as well, most of which we know about. One thing that I didn't know was that they're not very good at guessing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-18337039
