could well be made up seeing as he's a United fan,but it's a form of tapping up,as well as unsettling the player
Dos Santos has scored again for Mexico. He got the second in a 3-1 win over Guyana. Here's the first 2, with former Fulham full-back Carlos Salcido opening the scoring and our presumably departing winger getting the second:
We've been strongly linked with a £13m bid for Alan Dzagoev...let's see which tabloid prints this one!
Good goal from Gio. 3 in 3 games now - should add a bit to his transfer fee. And that's all we can hope for now. Whatever honours he wins in his career, he'll be winning somewhere else.
HBIC- personally I don't want another Russian at the Lane. Form in a tournament is fleeting -they'll write anything just to get our name in there.
Lewandowski linked to MUPLC - again, the assumption they have the money. What's the offer: £15m, £10m in add-ons, and season-long loans of Anderson and Macheda? Dortmund would tell them to verpiss dich...also, you may want to highlight my whole post about Dzagoev!
Know what you mean - tournament form is almost never a good indication. However he's been doing well for a while now before the tournament and, unlike Arshavin for example, isn't 27 or whatever - he's still pretty young. It was weird last Euros when I went off for a few days and came back to find that Arshavin was now apparently one of the best players in Europe and wouldn't consider a transfer to anywhere other than Barcelona and that he was 27 (I believe). "Eh?" I thought to myself, "Has this chap not just had two good games and no-one gave a monkeys about him before?" It all sounded a bit Diouf/Baros/Poborsky/The other Czech one from Euro 96 etc... (DISCLAIMER: Only reason I say that he has been looking good before the Euros is due to the midnight, last-minute research I did Thursday night to sort out my FF team. I'd never heard of him before 12:15 that night but was convinced enough to buy him).
Didn't see anything about this in the BBC gossip - must be more made up tosh from the Fail - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...4/Gonzalo-Higuain-rejects-Tottenham-move.html We couldn't afford his wages even if he wanted to come to us. --------------- Anyone else impressed by Thomas Muller? I thought he was excellent in the 2010 WC and he looked decent again tonight - good delivery into the box from the right as well. Decent record at Bayern Munich too considering he's only 22 I think.
Keep seeing stories about Rafa going to Germany- here's another one. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1094687/vdv-in-talks-with-schalke---agent?cc=3436 Is this something to worry about or is the media making mischief again?
Another one has him saying he'd like to play in Serie A before his career is over. Germany, Italy, so easy to confuse the two countries...
Hasn't Huub Stevens just admitted to trying to tap up van der Vaart, there? "Schalke won't say no to Van der Vaart, I still know him from our mutual stay at Hamburger SV and would like to join forces with him again. We are in contact with his agent."
Anyone else heard the Stefan Jovetic rumours?? Would love him to sign, but £18m seems quite steep! http://www.setanta.com/ien/Articles/2012/06/11/Jovetic-deal-a-step-closer/gnid-144644/
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view...s-he-admits-I-want-to-play-at-European-level- we should be going for him no matter what! even Europa would satisfy him and we can give him that and also for me promise him a starting berth...he is a beast.
Sounds like an agent and a club manager trying to engineer a transfer between them. And make a few quid for themselves into the bargain, do doubt.
