Because most of their fans come from Andover and Basingstoke? Nothing against Man Utd personally, but when my Watford born ex boss had the front to gloat after they knocked Saints out of the FA Cup a couple of seasons ago, it was hard not to be offended on many fronts. Don't think he went to the game though.
There are tens of millions of United fans, and Andover and Basingstoke have populations of thousands. So it would be impossible for most of our fans to come from those places. As for putting up with people gloating, most football fans hate United. United fans have to put up with these United haters gloating every time we lose. For example, if United get beat by Man City, we have to endure the mockery of City, Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle, Bolton, Stoke fans. As though it's some kind of victory for them too.
