I'm hooked on those stats, I'll give an update should I reach 1,000 viewings; it is like that petition all over again mate!
That is spot on, I couldnât agree more. Iâm just going to scuttle back into the shadows now mate, but you are right.
*Groan* That's why I hate the not606 app. You can't see who or what you're replying to Sorry Brix and Roller!
My blog has had over 1,000 hits now, with a surge due to QPR's Marc Bircham kindly retweeting the link for me, what a gent. #Thrilledtobits United Kingdom 746 Australia 62 United States 46 Ireland 32 Norway 17 Sweden 12 Finland 9 Denmark 9 Canada 8 Belgium 7 New Zealand 6 United Arab Emirates 6 France 5 Indonesia 4 Israel 4 Trinidad and Tobago 4 Switzerland 3 Egypt 3 South Africa 3 Germany 3 Spain 3 Czech Republic 3 Malaysia 2 Netherlands 2 Hong Kong 2 Thailand 2 Sri Lanka 1 Dominican Republic 1 Greece 1 Qatar 1 Lao People's Democratic Republic 1 Uganda 1 Mexico 1 Cyprus 1 Lebanon 1 Iceland 1 Taiwan 1 Cayman Islands 1 Malta 1 Peru 1
I've had a few responses from people on my FB and messsages....all VERY impressed...If i get he knack of this, i'll manage to re-post... ROLLER..I think with this project ....you have set a new level for all serious posters out there...!! Most of us like to think we have half a clue....YOU ; my friend have just raised the bench mark by a MASSIVE step... I personally; and on be half of oversea R's ...thank you massively....!! There's only one rollers coaster.....(repaeat) !!
I find it a bit strange that there are no Swedes on here (sorry if I've forgotten any) They're sixth on your list Roller. Shyness maybe, I know you're out there Sweden, c'mon and join in. There is a strong contingent of R's in Sweden and I believe we have a supporters club there as well. I got many congratulatory sentiments from Swedes last summer when I was in Turkey while proudly donning my hoops.
You're right, there is. I've seen a lot of Swedish flags at LR down the years. Don't know why they ain't on here.
Bit late I know, but I just want to add my thanks to Roller for a FANTASTIC article! I have read it 3 times now, and it brings tears to my eyes, because it really captures the incredible rollercoaster we overseas Hoops were on.How abou arranging a get-together of all the overseas hoops next season-at LR,of course!
That would truly be a moment to behold Israel. Any chance of us natives getting a look in on the party?!!
Nah, this one's only for us Furriners!! Looks like we could take up a block all by ourselves, if everyone made it!!
Just a hint: While this article is enjoying a wider audience and I'm sure will come to the attention of the hierarchy, why not try and arrange a visit through the club, I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to get a block booking of 20-30 seats if they are aware of the significance...
as for the "global meet up"..Im sure most of us here in OZ willl make the trip..just make sure the Visa / mastercard men aint there when we land !!! If we are doing a global thing then count me in !! Faflung and quenlandrangers..fancy it...we could take gareth and....well...make a statement!!!?
Good shout. I tweeted it to Ian Taylor (hope you don't mind, Roller), and it sounds like some of the coaches have picked up on it (Bircham) I'll be over at some point around Christmas, if any of the rest of the far-flung Hoops are?
Of course I don't mind. I sent it to Birch myself and he was good enough to retweet it. This is my first excursion into the world of Twitter (I thought it was the right way to thank David McIntyre for his tweet), I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. However more people have logged onto my blog through twitter than even through our forum, it is clearly the way to go. I tweeted big Tony as well, well why not?
So lets wait till the fixture list comes out and vote on whch game we should meet up at.Then we'll ask for a big discount from the Rangers Box Office, as we will all be shelling out loads of dosh on fare money!
I guess that it would make sense to pick a less attractive fixture then. Hey Israel, did you notice that Brixton picked up on your “Jerusalem has not seen anything like it for 2,000 years!” comment? It may have become a cliché where you are these days, but I thought it was excellent.
