Can't believe that for the season we have had for a newly promoted team our players have just been completely over looked
some of them should definately be in contention

    Gareth Bale? Seriously?

He has done nothing in the league and had two good Champions League performances then been injured all the time. These lists are a joke!

I'd just give it to Van der Vaart.

    1) He's been excellent this season
    2) Scored vital goals
    3) His wife is stunning

Not a good list. Surely Nolan has done more than Parker or Adam.

Adam, Bale, Tevez, Nasri, Parker, Van Der Vaart, Vidic. Not all that impressive.

I think for Nolan being the top scoring midfielder in the country to not even get mentioned is an utter joke

Before his inury against us he was unstoppable. Remember the impossible volley he scored early on in the season.

I would have thought Nolan would have gotten in the nominations with his goals. I would like our players to get some recognition cause they deserve but its not necessarily a totally bad thing they aren't being recognised. Will lower interest in the best ones hopefully.

Surely players should be picked for this list based on consistency of performances, not a sensational goal here and there! In all honesty Van Der Vaart shouldn't be on the list, because he hasn't done it for the whole season and has been injured a lot.

I couldn't believe Nolan's exclusion, especially when Bale was included when like aginairrr says, his heroics have come in Europe. There's been no real standout performance this season, Nasri, Nani, Tevez, Nolan and Van Der Vaart would be the five I'd have gone with. I can't believe they've left Nani out as well, he's had a quality season and they love giving it to Man U players (the last four have been Rooney (<doh>), Giggs (<doh>) and Ronaldo twice (fair enough)). If Arsenal win the league I think Nasri will get it, otherwise it should be Tevez.

How can a 24 year-old be in the young players category?!

I agree with that, just using an example, but not one player this season has been standout every week, everyone of those players nominated has suffered a dip in form at some point.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Parker, Adam, VDV or Tevez got it for how improtant they've been for their teams this season.

I class young players as 21 at the oldest, and I'd prefer it to go to a teenager.

  18. Nolan AND Barton should be in there.

Nolan is the highest scoring midfield player!!!

    BULLSHIT!

    The less recognition the better.

Gareth Bale is the most overrated football in the world. Tevez should win it.
