Im not overly phased by who the next guy will be, its virtually impossible to second guess the club when it comes to choosing a manager so im not going to get in too deep over Laudrup ! his managerial record is pretty good and i think he will be a good fit but it does bother me when he is favourite!! we never give the job to the favourite !! I have just watched the Euro's and i have to say there are loads of absolutly top draw players that ive seen so far today, just come in from the Russia v cheq rep game and it is fantastic football, England look like real plodders compared to the 4 teams ive seen so far, it highlights to me why the swans have done so well, concentrate on keeping the ball and work on ball skills and first touch ,something that 70% of the England team cant do, intresting that alot of players with poor technique in the England team seem to come from Liverpool.. good luck with that buck!! The new manager will be very blessed coming to us, we are witnessing one of the best Swans teams in our History IMO and i think for the next 1-2 yrs they can carry most novices as manager and make them look good, of course it will still be hard to deal with the prem league but its a pleasure to watch the Euro's knowing that our team play with equal technical quality and skill...anyway, ramble over drink poured(captain morgan with a dash of coke) and on with the second half
what about the applications at the liberty, dont tell me there wont be any applicants to manage a premiership team..i dont believe a word jinks says its all spin with him. any normal chairman would be at his desk going through who have applied for the job and not swanning off on holiday pretending to be looking for a manager...If laudrup or anyone is interested then they would apply for the job.....we are led down the garden path on this with jinks and his propaganda team working overtime. you do not get a manager the way he is leading you to believe. they apply if they want the job and they come to you and not the other way around.....its bollocks....maybe the end of next week my arse.........
Umm I disagree there Superswan.... did you hear of any applications in the mail for the Liverpool job? I do believe they went out shopping for a manger just as we have done, the only exception is that we are no where near as big a club as them.

Listen mate, all these applications you talk about piling up on Huws desk..well its not a job at Tesco's mind!! There will be more phone calls than paper work and alot of stuff will be done through agents, Huw would then have a few portfolio's to read through on Holiday,but only the ones he wants to read!! the club will have a good idea who they want and they will be taking advice from people within the game, the likes of Jackett and rodgers were perfect examples of this as both were well known to be excellent coaches. The fact you think there are a massive pile of paper work/cv's building up with big name managers that huw will only know about if he reads the covering letter shows you are living in the dark ages!! its not like there will be fabio capello's CV buried under a load of other run of the mill aplicants, anyone of note will have his agent on the phone telling Huw he is intrested in the job. Its all touchy feely stuff Dai and its not like putting in a form to work at B & Q part time Mon to Fri Point is that the club has all this in hand and quite frankly does a bloody good job of it too!! Flynn,Jackett,Martinez,Sousa and Rodgers are proof that whatever method the club use to pick its man its certainly one that works!! Its time for you to stop venting your anger on Jenkins and switch on to the fact that whatever method the club are using its a winning one and has been for the last 9yrs!! We have had the best time as swans fans for 30 odd years,probably the best ever ,and the reason for that is because the club is being run like clockwork, be proud of that fact and enjoy it!! remember that being a swans fan comes with a healthy dose of reality from time to time so enjoy and cherish the good times when they arrive and bask in the glory the club have giving us these last few years, it may not always be this way !!
There won't be any applications for jobs, you know I don't think jobcentreplus will be sending in CVs anytime soon! It all goes through agents that's what they are there for, perhaps that's why laudrup's agent knows there has been no contact when asked. The club knows exactly who they want, and its probably being negotiated right now in a far flung place. So that probably discounts all the UK based managers being touted. It's about being patient and waiting another week or so before we know, judging by the appointments of our previous managers he should be unveiled within that timescale. In the meantime we have to put up with Superswan and his outrageous and unwarranted attacks on huw
My point was a lot of the initial business of sounding out prospective candidates will not be done face to face. Well the above comments from Vally and Bap hit the Nail on the head for me !! well said! Truth is there is nothing for ANYONE to moan about when it comes to how our club is being run, as i said on another thread there have been times in the past with contracts and gaining international clearences when we have been pathetic but that is part of a learning curve and we are getting better with that. Everything else is being done very well How much compo did Norwich get out of Villa Dai ?? well, we got £7m quid !! thats not a bad bit of buisness at all,it shows we are becoming more street wise with every passing day, there is much more to be positive about when you look at the big picture. I dont normally comment when Daiswan goes off on one about Huw, he is entitled to his view same as everyone else but sometimes i find it a bit gauling when you consider our club is the model many are trying to follow, its even more amazing when you consider how things used to be before fans took control of the club, we should be thankful for everything that has happened these last 9yrs, of course Huw Jenkins was not the driving force behind it all but he has never claimed to be either, he has however looked after the club as well as anyone could have dreamed. Dont worry about the manager, whoever it is will be the best man for the job, if we end up relegated so what! we have already acheived beyond our wildest dreams and even turned our biggest rivals red with jealousy in the process The next few years are all gravy for the Swans, anyone who leaves we will get the market value for,we have a system of play and are a progresive club,we have gained a reputation for playing by the rules and projecting everything that is positive with the beautiful game, we are the master plan that other teams will look to follow and we did it by precise planning !! Precise planning prevents piss poor performance !! something that Huw Jenkins has been an integral part of, i wish some would at least acknowledge this fact !!
My only complaint is that our £7,000,000 bonus should be shared amongst our season ticket holders. 7 mill divided by 16000 equates to £437 each which equates to a free season ticket for all Jacks, courtesy of the Scousers Keep the good work up Huw and the Board.
Too be honest I have had a couple of drinks now and on top of that every time tonight that I have looked on a thread for some semblance of reasonable debate its been the same comment from him and it just made my blood boil. I cant be doing with people who comment on something you say and add that stupid emoticon he uses as though I am ****ing Homer Simpson.
There will be a fair amount of plastic fans who would benifit from that !! maybe you should only get it if you can bring a swans top thats over 10yrs old
Good points made Norway & well put. We`ve got a lot of important things in place at our club and theres no reason why with Huws track record we cant come out of this blip with staff leaving etc..and carry on upwards to even greater glory . The main piece after new staff missing is an academy which if the new gaffer does his homework he will make it a priority .
Some intresting posts on here, im new here so not sure if there is a WUM at play or just a drunk Jack messing about ,surely there isnt anything for our chairman to answer to when it comes to running the club ?
