I know the season is a few weeks off yet, but where do you think we'll finish? I think we'll be 7th-10th.
Evening Swans fans Hows the manager search progressing? Is there any more news on who and when the job will be filled? I think your poll is a bit tricky to vote on at this stage with this massive undertaking not yet finished. I see the bookies have made us 4th favourites to go down next season, but with the appointment yesterday of Hughton i feel a lot more optimistic. Lamberts shoes will take some filling but i do think we've got the right guy in to have a go? Good luck with the search
This poll is gonna piss some people off! They will all say its too early. I take it for what it is a bit of fun! 12th!
iv put a true reflection of where we are today. I may change depending who we get as manager and what players we may or may not get to whether i think we will do a bit better or certain relegation battle....
I've gone for between 7-10, as I think that we will get the right manager we need, and the right players in to strengthen for next season, in the final third! Another chapter begins in the march of the mighty Swansalona!..... please log in to view this image
I too have gone 7-10 and pretty much agree with DPJ. We have a knack for getting the right man at the right time to do the job that is required. Roll on next week
Once maybe twice is lucky mate not three times, thats a skill a lot of recruitment officers and employers have. Identifying the skill set needed combined with the right attitude. For me HJ and the board have that in spades
what keeps me faithful is that everyone who leaves our club does not fulfil their expectation managers & players! Martinez: ok didn't set wigan alight Sousa: sacked! Pratley: poor Leon: S'UTD Poor ETC..................... Its our club! as long as we keep the heart of our club going (total football) we will be ok!
I don't think it's luck that got us where we are. But a little luck does help sometimes. Some good luck could see us near top 6, while some bad luck could see us near the bottom. Outside the top 6 or 7 it seems that any team could end up anywhere. It's quite an open league outside the top teams.
Poll is open for 90 days, so people can vote later if they like. Don't see why it should piss people off though. Yes, it's a bit of fun and a way to gauge what fans think about their team's chances.
I actually think it's better if the poll closes when we get the new manager in and then start another poll so we can judge the effect of the new manager on peoples outlook.
Saying we've been "lucky" does our players, previous manager and our current board a massive disservice. Where would we have been if Sinclair had buried that open goal v United? What if Graham's header hadn't been brilliantly saved v Arsenal away? Works both ways. If the term is being used to reflect our choice of manager there's no luck about it. Jenkins seems to have the knack of picking the right man for the job. Lucky? Pffft! Oh and I've gone for what I said last season: 11-14, probably nearer 11th. Top half and it'll be another memorable season.
8th as last season before the buck mess happy with 17th or above now but hope to go back to 8th when gaffa & team is settled.
