I wonder just how bad it would have to get to cancel the tournament OR most of the teams just go home?!

Rioting Liverpool hooligans led to the deaths of 39 rival supporters at the 1985 European Cup, and the game still went ahead. And we all know the individual who scored the only goal of that game!

    Was that against Juve?

If it was i played against one of thier players about 10 years ago in a footy tournament in Turin for my Sunday side.

I was about mid 20's (LOL) and REALLY fit, not just good loking. This guy was earlir 40's with a beer gut and about a size 46 waist......he made me look like a complete idiot on the pitch. I could not get anywhere near him...literally.
Absolutely diffrent class those players...put me firmly back in place.....
they told us later that he had played alongside Platini in one of they great sides...I think it was Juve or Milan?

Anyway..If it wasnt, just tell me to shut up !! Maybe it was some fat old Italian guy that delivered pizza's and they didnt want us to feel bad !

It won't get that bad. A lot of this I suspect is media-hype and over reaction.

Of course I could be wrong but I'm confident these kinds of stories will die down when the football gets in full swing.

I could be biased as there's so many Poles where I live and I've not come across a bad one yet. Hopefully the small number of knuckle-draggers will be dealt with by the authorities.

It was Juve Queens. I went to live in Italy in 88, and the anti English feeling still lingered. Still had a great time for 4 years. Played in a pub team including an ex Atalanta CB who's knees had gone, but could walk round the rest of us.
Something dodgy about the article in the OP. surely this would have hit other news media? Plus the 'dogs trained to bite testicles' stuff was a tongue in cheek guide put out by an English paper in Krakow, reported dead straight here. Let's not jump to hasty conclusions.

"Eye witnesses said cars pulled up next to the pub driven by masked men who attacked anyone in sight, throwing punches and kicks. The attackers were described as young men wearing club colours of local team LKS Lodz.......

.......Police took more than ten minutes to reach the pub."
