It says it all in the title, I am a non gambler, not because of some deep moral dilemma, more because I am crap at it. However due to the deep recession, cuts, deficits and a feeling of **** it, lets live dangerously, tomorrow I will join the rest of the human race and place a bet, on The Grand National. Question is, WHAT ON. Here is where I need your help, tips please! Before you rush in, think hard because, I am poor Get it wrong and I could be on the streets The next time you walk through Durham, that wizened old man selling the Big Issue could be me The responsibility I put on you is immense Advise away........................
Avoid 'Surface to Air' like the plague as I've drawn it for the office sweepstake. It'll be in a kebab on Sunday; trust me. They always do...
Lotto about 7,000,000 to 1 Tonights Euro about 11,000,000 to 1 There's a rumour number 13 is a cert for the Euro mind.
Going for Walsh's and/or McCoy's, each way, just makes good sense as the chances are one of those to will be a contender. I think you get 8'-1 and 14-1 respectively at most bookies. Paddy Power place to fifth and give you a free ã10 bet when you bet ã20 if you start an online account.
Hahahaha start a new one under your missus' details. It's fraud but it's the Grand National so a little petite crime is understandable.
Well so far it looks like.. Dont Push It and The Midnight Club E/W But I have to put a wager on....BIG FELLA THANKS to win, it mut be a sign
I did a daft one on state of play and 25-1. I can't either justify why I did it so it just might be stupid enough to come off.
I remember the year when the race got abandoned. This news didn't get anounced at Roker Park, or at least I didn't hear it. So after the game I entered a packed Howard Arms with my bookies slip in hand and shouted out "does anyone know what won the National". "Bomb scare" came a reply. "Oh" I said disapointedly, and then asked "so what came second, third and fouth". The whole pub went into fits of laughter, and I still get the piss took out of me about it to this day.
That's brilliant. I'm chuckling away like a loon in the office. Backed Calgary Bay to win this weekend
