Questionnaire time, for the crack. Out of all the stadia you've been to, excluding SJP: Which one did you like the most, and why? Which one did you dislike/hate the most, and why? Which one did you find the most impressive? Which one did you find the most modern and 'high tech', and why? Which one did you find the most old fashioned and dingiest, and why? Which one gave the best atmosphere (not the fans, just the stadium) and why? Which stadiums had the best and worst infrastructure (i.e. getting in, getting out, getting transport and so on) and why? Which stadiums had the best and worst locations, and why? Try and focus more on the stadium and how it was ran, instead of anything to do with the home fans.
I'm not just restricting this to England. Which one did you like the most, and why? Camp Nou simply for the size and reputation Which one did you dislike/hate the most, and why? Everton due to those damn pillars! Which one did you find the most impressive? The Wall in Doha, Qatar. http://www.theoffside.com/world-football/the-worlds-first-underground-stadium.html Which one did you find the most modern and 'high tech', and why? The Wall in Doha. Which one did you find the most old fashioned and dingiest, and why? Everton. It needs to be demolished Which one gave the best atmosphere (not the fans, just the stadium) and why? San Siro because the acoustics are incredible. Which stadiums had the best and worst infrastructure (i.e. getting in, getting out, getting transport and so on) and why? The old Wembley had the worst infrastructure for getting to and from the ground. Best for infrastructure to get in and away from for me is the Hong Kong Stadium. Which stadiums had the best and worst locations, and why? Fulham has a great location by the river and the park. I can't single out 'one' bad location but will just say the flat pack stadiums in retail centres...
Which one did you like the most, and why? Emirates, great day out, great win and our fans were great. Got a hug off a gorgeous blonde when we scored too! Which one did you dislike/hate the most, and why? Didn't care too much for Molineux, the game, the clogging and the ref and what happened to Ben Arfa. Which one did you find the most impressive? Probably Emirates. Which one did you find the most modern and 'high tech', and why? None compared to ours. Which one did you find the most old fashioned and dingiest, and why? Has to be Goodison. Just about falling down. Which one gave the best atmosphere (not the fans, just the stadium) and why? For some reason I probably enjoyed the atmosphere at brum. Had a special feel good atmosphere about it. Which stadiums had the best and worst infrastructure (i.e. getting in, getting out, getting transport and so on) and why? Wasn't too keen on White Hart Lane. Which stadiums had the best and worst locations, and why? Liked Craven Cottage, always been a favourite ground of mine. Sat by the river many a time and enjoyed the peace and calm before the storm. Good bunch of fans too. Wasn't too keen on Upton Park. Terrible parking and area. Try and focus more on the stadium and how it was ran, instead of anything to do with the home fans.
Which one did you like the most, and why? Millenium stadium, fantastic ground. Which one did you dislike/hate the most, and why? Wigan because it's in the middle of ****ing nowhere Which one did you find the most impressive? Nou Camp, just wow Which one did you find the most modern and 'high tech', and why? Millenium Stadium - it has everything Which one did you find the most old fashioned and dingiest, and why? Ewood Park - epitomises the word **** Which one gave the best atmosphere (not the fans, just the stadium) and why? Brittania - the way the ground is small and compact allows the noise levels to rise Which stadiums had the best and worst infrastructure (i.e. getting in, getting out, getting transport and so on) and why? Millenium Stadium again and Wigan for the worst (see above) Which stadiums had the best and worst locations, and why? Camp Nou - perfect location in Catalonia. Goodison park - two **** stadiums with a **** park in between can't get worse than that
Worst for me was Hull, they gave us 2 turnstills for 5k fans that was fun Best ground was Frankfurt, well for what i remember of it. Walking to the ground asking the coopers if there was a bog near by and being told to just go piss in the woods, you wouldnt get that in England
That was baffling. Handing my ticket over and having to walk through the woods, people were going for ****s and everything
We got lost after the game and ended up finding a random hotel in the woods and getting taxi back into the city
The Commerzbank Arena is fun to get to. I walked from the city centre after the concierge told me it was a pleasant 20 minutes walk through the forest. He got a mouthful when I got back!
Questionnaire time, for the crack. Out of all the stadia you've been to, excluding SJP: Which one did you like the most, and why? Emirates/San Siro Which one did you dislike/hate the most, and why? Scunthorpe Which one did you find the most impressive? Nou Camp/San Siro Which one did you find the most modern and 'high tech', and why? Emirates, cushions on the seats. Which one did you find the most old fashioned and dingiest, and why? Scunthorpe/Grimsby/Peterborough Which one gave the best atmosphere (not the fans, just the stadium) and why? San Siro was class when we got going, their Ultras were decent as well. Which stadiums had the best and worst infrastructure (i.e. getting in, getting out, getting transport and so on) and why? Couldn't name a best one, worst was Hull, having to walk all the way around a massive astroturf park was a pain in the arse as they wouldn't let us out the gate to the left. Which stadiums had the best and worst locations, and why? Latvia national stadium, right in Riga's city centre, was class. Worst has to be Bolton. Try and focus more on the stadium and how it was ran, instead of anything to do with the home fans.
As you can see from my age and my geographical location, you can probably guess I haven't been to many stadiums so I will just rate the stadiums I have been to out of 10. St James Park - 9 Ewood Park - 6 City of Manchester Stadium - 9 Reebok - 7 La Roselada (Malaga) - 8 Pittodrie (Aberdeen) - 4 Inverness CT Stadium - 2 Easter Road (Hibernian) - 4 Carrow Road - 6
I've never been, but I've always assumed that the Emirates is a really nice stadium. Even the shape and design of the whole thing is just rather lovely. Not sure how it is being a fan though and going inside.
