Well when Roeder left us demoralised, clueless and stuffed full of loan players, we turned to the inexperience of Bryan Gunn...and haven't really <yikes> ever looked back since <whistle>

Which in a way is exactly my point, we needed somebody more experienced, probably less talented in the long run, but needs must at that time. We could have quite easily gone down at that time, and i fully back my quote that probably even still now we need an experienced head to guide the ship. A bit like you guys now, i feel for you to really establish yourself in the prem, you perhaps need the guy with experience to give you 2 years of stablity, before you plump again for the younger guy.

I have obviously got under the skin of Kemp for him to warrant starting a thread about it! I really feel for people who can't debate/argue without resorting to childish name calling and abuse. Most of you guys are fantastic at it, and we have a good craic!

sorry to disappoint you guru, but you were suggesting nothing of the sort. you never quantified that you were suggesting a scenario where you pick jewell instead of hughton at the time you appointed jewell. i asked you the question straight up, 'who would you choose between hughton and jewell as manager of ipswich?'

    your emphatic reply was,

"If i had a choice of Jewell or Hughton i would pick PJ because he (even with all his faults) has experienced the tough side of management rather than everything being given to him on a plate, if i had a choice between PJ or Holloway, i would have Holloway every single time without question."

Hmmm the poll is closed already. Hughton clearly only won because you didn't give us a chance to find it and vote <doh>

to be fair, i think jewell did rather well to get four votes, seeing as there are only three ipswich fans!

Calm down! You think I got a bee in my bonnet mate, you should take a look in the mirror. I couldn't give a monkey's about what you think.

Also, the question was straight up. Who would you prefer to manage your team?

Your response was Jewell. 1.28% of the people that voted agreed with you! To be honest I am surprised that it is that high.

You can't make a statement like that and then when it is challenged try to qualify it afterwards. You aired your oppinion I disagree strongly with it as do 98.72% of people that voted in the poll I have challenged your point of view and have been proved right. Get over it, life goes on.

<laugh> The poll is on the Norwich board? What was the point? Why not post a poll on some neutral boards and ask the question: do you expect Norwich to stay up next season?
Oh no; then again, Norwich fans were all over the EADT Grant Holt poll and would pull a similar stunt again.
