Was going to go with them but I find them funny sometimes whereas ER is the comedic equivalent of discovering your entire family has been raped to death.
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3284...claims-dutch-players-were-subjected-to-racist That's put the ref's in an even stickier situation, not sure whether these comments by Van Bommel will deter racist chanting though, might even have the opposite effect.
The thing is what actually constitues 'racist chanting'? I'd be surprised if any of the Dutch players spoke and understood Polish or Czech when spoken by one person slowly and clearly, yet they can undertand a mass of people shouting? It's hard enough to hear what English crowds are chanting at times. some songs may sound like racist chanting and be totally innocent of it, for example a full crowd going "who, who, who who are ya" could easily be mistaken for monkey chants. I beleive there was a case last year where United (I think) were complaining of racist chanting when it was simply the crowd singing there usual club song that had no racial overtones at all. Now I'm not saying it doesn't happen, it would be naive to believe that, but I think some people are so touchy that they see racism where there isn't any.
