Come on Huw, for goodness sake sort it out will you, the more you fly around Europe, the higher our ticket prices will be next season!................... please log in to view this image
Fine thanks Cracker. Being reading posts for a while after demise of BBC 606. Slowly getting back into it. Nice to see your still contributing.
It just dont add up none of this rubbish that we are after laudrup, bergkamp and the like......whenever a club is looking for a manager in the lower leagues there is a flood of applicants that land on the door mat of the club. i would expect that as a premiership club we would have plenty of applicants some good and some bad and we fart about chasing people who are if they have not applied not interested. If laudrup is interested then we would know by now as we would if we had any sense ask him, the longer we drag this out the longer it will take to get ready for the coming season and the clock is ticking.....applicants are bound to be there choose a few and interview them instead of swanning off on holiday....
Superswan, how do you know we are chasing all these people ? We have only one confirmed person the club said they were after and that was Graham Jones, nobody at the club is mentioning anything at all, we don't even know if they are even at all interested in Laudrup, I posted a bbc link earlier below again, that has this quote Where do they get that from? Where is the confirmation that they know that the club is going for Laudrup? Its plucked from the air with no facts in there. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18325287 You have absolutely no patience at all mate
valley if these super stars were interested dont you think jinks should be home and one of these superstars in place by now...i and many on here know jinks from old ...he gets things wrong and this time he has got it wrong by going on holiday when we dont have a manager in place and the season is drawing nearer. you cant do that especially in the premiership.....the fixture list is out soon and nobody appointed. all the applicants are waiting at the liberty in his IN box while he is having a holiday...not good enough....
You are assuming to much Superswan , everyone gets things wrong ! The thing about huw is that he gets more things right. The season is maybe approaching in 10 weeks time, but it's more important to spend time getting the right person in.
HJ = 3 promotions via 4 successful managers £10m profit through manager pay-offs alone Football that is the envy of almost every football fan anywhere So Dai, you claim HJ keeps getting things wrong. How completely ludicrous!!!!!
Laudrup still odds on with all major bookies and shortening slightly. Jones still there but drifting slightly. You pays your money.........
okay it has drawn out a bit, but Huw will get it sorted, the players are all on holiday at the moment so it's not like they are on a rudderless training field. As campionijack points out, he has done right in the past he will do right again. Would rather it takes two weeks to find the right bloke rather than instantly getting a picture of someone like Mick McCarthy holding a black n' white scarf above his head on the BBC football homepage.
I don't think we need to rush to get a new manager. I'm sure we'll have one n the next week, so still plenty of time to plan for the new season. I know it's frustrating for us, but we just have to be patient. But I am a little surprised that we haven't found someone yet. Plans seem to have been put in place when BR was mentioned for the Spurs job, so it should just be a case of interviewing the top 2-3 candidates and taking it from there. Probably lots going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. When BR was up for the Liverpool job we were told that the club hadn't been approached by Liverpool, but that didn't mean that talks weren't taking place. So when we read that Laudrup, Holloway, etc haven't been approached yet, we can assume that they have been. I also think that the BBC must have it on good authority that Laudrup will be approached officially this week, as they don't usually go for completely unsubstantiated speculation. So I assume that means he'll get the job. Can't see why else they'd be making an official approach. But he's a free agent so not sure what difference it makes how they approach him. All smoke and mirrors.
Dai: "If laudrup is interested then we would know by now" Well he's on record as saying he fancies a crack at the Premier League and we're the only Club looking aren't we? Think WBA are now sorted as well as Norwich. So there's only us. If he's ready now then he'll take it if offered. I don't like the idea of HJ being on holiday but I suspect there maybe more to this than meets the eye. It may well be that preliminary talks have taken place and both parties have gone away for a week to mull it over. We just don't know. There may even be an agreement in principle. Who knows? As always, it's never dull around here.
I think this is what our summer will be like. Once we have a manager it will be straight on to players coming and going speculation. With Laudrup in charge we should do ok keeping players and getting some good new players. Maybe even Siggy.
What about a working holiday? 2 birds one stone! if we want a top manager then I think we will travel to get him! I want one quick so I can Rest better and see things happen!
