It would appear that the Dutch squad were racially abused while training in Poland. Mark Van Bommel has said " If you didn't hear it open your ears". It would appear UEFA will do anything to deny this is happening.
If this happened in an England match, and it got so bad the team walked off. Would you back that decision.
1 If England were thrown out of World cup qualifying.
2 All English teams were thrown out of Champions league, Europa league.

I believe a stand has to be made NOW, and although gutted to see Newcastle miss out, would sacrifice that to make a stand. If the above happened do you think any other countries would back us up?

England being thrown out of Euros would be a perfectly acceptable price to pay.

I can't quite understand how a saction could be imposed on clubs that were not involved in the decision

I personally think if one country did it, a lot more would follow suit. UEFA and the Champions League need the likes of Man Utd, Man City, Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern Munich, Inter and AC just as much as vice versa.

I can't see any other country making a stand, look what happened when the FA made accusations about the corruption in FIFA, no other country seemed to be willing to come out in support of the FA, even though the corruption seems to be common knowledge.
The FA looked like they were bitter over our failed world cup bid, definitely a huge gamble expecting support from elsewhere in Europe, UEFA have already issued a statement denying the abuse was racially motivated.

Not football related but, I remember the racial abuse Lewis Hamilton had to endure in Spain, the culprits sat in their seats enjoying their day in full view of the world media. They had painted their faces black if I recall properly, why were they not hauled out and dealt with by the authorities, it was a disgrace and that was an opportunity missed by Spain as far as I'm concerned, they could have made a stand but did not.

Racial abuse is something that affects players of all Countries and it shouldn't be allowed to happen.

It's only a minority of idiots that are responsible for it and it should be stamped out asap.

    You cant 'stamp out' racism.

Its an issue with society, not just sport. You cant just 'stamp it out'.

Turf the idiots out of the ground and they'll soon get fed up with it and lay off it.

The dutch have said they won't make an official complaint, but I reckon if it continues then there will be.

You have to wonder, why did UEFA pick a country:

    a. with such a terrible human rights record
    b. with such open and accepted racism
    c. with such corruption, greed and poverty

as Ukraine for hosting the second biggest international football tournament in the world?

You also have to ask, will the same happen in Russia (which also has a history of racism, see Odemwingie), and will it be worse with African teams being there?

what's worse, for me, is the fact that despite it being widely reported & recorded in the media (with overwhelming evidence) and now even the players, before the tournament has even started

yet EUFA are still putting their heads in the sand and saying "naaah naah naaah not happening"

I for one hope that a team walks off the pitch. France, England, or Holland seem to have players with enough self respect & dignity to make a stand like this. The Dutch players have already been quoted saying if any one of their team mates walks, they will follow in support.

It'll make this a bigger story and no longer will EUFA be able to ignore it.

Personally If I was head of the FA I'd instruct the team to walk off the pitch if they were subject to racist chanting.

Just let Fifa/Uefa try to ban us for not letting the team get racially abused... they wouldn't have a leg to stand on as they would be condoning infrigement of human rights.

If enough teams make a stand then:

1- Fifa/Uefa will be forced to deal with the issue once and for all (2 year ban for any country found guilty anyone... maybe rising to 5, then 10 for a second and third offence?)
2- Society itself will have to effectively police itself and get it's house in order also

Mark Van Bommel is not the type to make stuff up like this either...

How long can they keep their heads burried in the sand without coming up for air. They'll have to face up to it at sometime or other, it won't just go away.

Is the best way to combat the issue not to keep playing, and let the black guy lift the trophy?

They want teams to walk off, or refuse to play! Stick the fingers up to them.

As I've said before: Hodgson walks onto the pitch and leads his team off.

At the news conference he says that he had no choice. He is the players line manager and is requiredby English law and the terms of the contract to ensure that they are not subjected to racial abuse at their workplace.

And let UEFA figure out what to do about it.

That is: the best way of combatting is to do nothing and let the racial abusers continue without any opposition ?

    I disagree.

The Ukraine and poland desparately want this to go well and for the rest of Europe to start thinking, "Poland and the Ukraine: those might be nice places to go for a holiday". If a couple of maggots **** that up, the governments will react.

Some country or club needs to take a stand, then maybe the big wigs will open their eyes and ears.
