Certain people have different feelings about their hometown. I thought it would be great moving to England for Uni, but after a while I realised how much I missed home. Maybe he's the same.

 

its strange when the shoe is on the other foot, arsenal pay us 13 million for a 17 year old with 35 lg1 games under his belt and most thought they got a good deal. forecast was supposed to be one for the future. he could not be promised first choice keeper, but if he is as good as they say then I can see him sharing first spot by the end of the season. KD is a great shot stopper but not the biggest keeper, and I feel he may get bullied abit on set pieces, most keepers today are around the 6feet 4 inches mark. its only 3 inches, but my misses says it makes all the difference

 

That may be, but you probably didn't think the same before you left and you wouldn't have forgiven yourself for not trying and wondering what could have been.

most people are put off moving to different cities esp north to south because of the huge difference in prices for housing and general cost of life. i´m pretty sure this will not be a factor for J Rod

Load of rubbish if you ask me. Even putting aisde the fact that he's harder a younger option in comparison to Davis, why on earth would Green leave West Ham for us? One assumes that West Ham would have offered him a decent wage to stay, so you only turn that down (which he has) for proper mega-bucks (which Cortese is unlikely to offer, and rightly so) or for one last shot with a big club before you retire (which we are most certainly not - not yet any way).

Am I being naive in thinking that we will have a CB lined up and as good as sorted? Surely we would have to be sure that we can get a CB in before we let Martin go. I'm sure we were always going to be in for a CB, but as shown by our attempts last Summer its not always that easy.

 

Maybe he just fancies a change of scenery?! Dislikes Allardyce? It could be any number of reasons.

Behind Friedel and Gomes? Gomes will surely be off actually... good keeper, doesn't deserve the **** he gets

 

Gomes is better than people give him credit for but you know what Harry's like, if for some reason he doesn't fancy you, you might as well retire for all the chances you'll get.

Friedel is quality but he's not getting any younger. I think Spurs will offer Green a big salary and he'll be happy to play second fiddle for a little while.
