Of course they're inconsistent, all the more reason to curb their powers. Suggesting even more Draconian measures on their part would make the situation worse not better. It's not their ability to mete out punishment that's the issue, it's their incompetence at assessing guilt.
Lets name some people charged by the FA and not convicted of said charge Of the top of my head,.......................................................................................................................................................I cant think of anyone FA justice system reminds me of those pillars of equality and fair play,North Korea,China,Zimbabwe under Mugabe,Iraq under Saddam Lets get to the point the FA dont do fair trials Using google,I still think you would be struggling to find any
More often than not they are right to punish players who have committed offences. I mean most 3 match bans are in fairness correct and even the high profile cases are often correct. Its the punishments handed out that dont stand up. Sometimes overly punished and sometimes not punished enough or at all. You never know what there going to do. Hash is right in saying that the FA charge means **** all but thats more down to the fact that depending on who you are and how highly the FA rate you dictates how you will be punished not what you have done which is how it should be. Im no fan of the FA as a United fan as they have ****ed us as much as the next club. Sometimes they have been right to but when we have seem similar things happen elsewhere and much more lenient punishments handed down it gets annoying.
Rafa Benitez today attended an FA hearing in Manchester that considered three charges brought against him following Liverpool's opening game of the season at Tottenham Hotspur. The Commission found that two of the allegations relating to comments made about the match referee were not proven and therefore dismissed. On a third, the Commission accepted that a gesture made with a pair of spectacles was 'in a non-malicious and humorous manner' and taking into account Mr Benitez's previous unblemished record, warned him about his future conduct. No fine was imposed or costs awarded against the Liverpool manager. The Commission also expressed their surprise at the failure of the FA to charge another manager who had made a similar gesture the same weekend.
I think John Terry has had a red card over turned before, may of been Lampard but it was a Chelsea player. It was very weird and while he may not of been charged it was still something the FA rarely does. Clubs get cleared all the time aswell. Fabregas has also been cleared of an FA charge before. Benitez aswell.
So Rafa was given a warning , when other said manager ( I wonder who it was....... Whiskey Nose , Bacon face ) doesnt even get charged for the SAME offence Ring any bells, Suarez one finger, about 100 players b4 and since done it, got away with it. Suarez ..................................gets a ban
Its not like SAF or anyone at United or any other club has been wrongfully charged by the FA people...
IM WARNING YOU......................for doing nothing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The FA, as I said, corrupt as f**k
http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/NewsAndFeatures/2011/Sir-Alex-Ferguson-warned Not sure if he was punished other than a warning. Doesnt say just says he was warned after a charge so suggest he wasnt found guilty but they warned him.
Being 'cleared' and 'wrongfully charged' are two different things. Ferguson has got loads of previous and obviously got lucky when he got Bruce and Fat Sam on the FA panel that particular day.
Which suggests the FA are the most spasticated organisation ever. Can you imagine if the 4 courts or whatever they are in England came to this conclusion : ''to you the Birmingham six having reviewed all the evidence we find you not guilty and apologise for a great miscarriage of justice. Now don't go blowing up any pubs''
