Err it aint Rocket Science Bosman was have his human rights damaged by NOT being able to move to another club at the completion of his contract Suarez would also be having his human rights damaged, if he was banned from playing football when cleared by a REAL court, for the same thing he is being banned for
It looks like he doesn't understand that the Bosman ruling was as much about human rights as it was about moving between clubs. Suarez was the FA's sacrificial lamb in the Fifa led fight against racism. Proof,Di Canio and JT(so far).
This Suarez was convicted by FA not because he was guilty but because FA wanted to appear tough on racism Suarez would have almost certainly been cleared in a real court FA only wanted to appear tough on racism to use the issue as a political stick to hit FIFA with, who they hate Media jumped on FAs side cos they hate FIFA too,and cos they dont give a f**k about the truth if its sells papers( the irony being is there any proffession in the country more xenophobic and racist than jounalists)
OK... I would think Suarez would lose a civil case. The court would uphold the FA's ruling based on Suarez' admission. That would leave it down to the FA to decide whether to then charge Suarez with bringing the game into disrepute and potentially handing down another ban. It would be a civil case wouldnt it?
This^^ The world is full of people looking for something to be offended by so they can express their "righteous" indignation, and use it have a go at someone else. They bolster their own self image by criticizing others. The irony is that racism is a form of intolerance, and the ones who scream for the worst possible punishment for offenders are themselves amongst the most intolerant.
I understand it fine but it has absolutely nothing in common with this. Suarez hasnt had his human right prevented at all, he was banned for his stupidity. Are you suggesting that all players who are banned for any number of games should challenge it in court as a breach of their human rights. Suarez broke the rules. He was banned. For the sake of the argument I would like to suggest that players who are banned for collecting too many yellow cards or for a red card challenge and the ref got it wrong also sue the FA, FIFA and everyone else. Doubt it would get them anything other than an extended ban but hey, why not. Seriously though, Suarez wouldnt stand a chance in court. Yes Evra may be a stupid **** and maybe he played on it a little, hes not the first and only one to do so. It doesnt lessen what Suarez did at the end of the day and it certainly didnt affect his human rights. Sepp Blatter once said footballers are slaves or words to that effect. It holds as much water as the Suarez/human rights claim.
Yep........ One small point, the FA do tend to have access to extensive video evidence in almost all cases aswell as numerous eye witness reports and the report of an appointed official. Its a little bit like being caught red handed by the police.
The Utd players and the ref never gave evidence as to what they heard, only as to what they were told by Evra.
Roy Keane has said he doesn't ''know why the FA charge people as once you're charged, you're ****ed. You're getting done end of..''
Ive said many times Suarez isnt a racist but he is an idiot. He was rightfully punished for his stupidity and should learn by it. I dont know about you but here in England and on my street if I was to go outside and walk to the house 3 doors down and knock on the door of the young black family to say 'hey negros' with a massive smile on my face looking happy as Larry I might lose some teeth. Its possible they would say hey back but I wouldnt be confident. I wont be trying it either before anyone suggests it. Ive also said racism should be tackled in the game with harsh clearly stated punishments that are issued if needed as soon as possible after the incident. The punishment itself would act as a deterrent and its likely nothing would happen. Im also not one of those people who thinks everything is offensive. Far from infact. I just think within the game if there going to deal with it they shouldnt ****ing pansy about they should just deal with it. The crap FIFA and the FA pull at times with inconsistent ruling is a joke.
What I will say is I have " doubt" that Suarez ever made a racist remark towards Evra, and in a real court thats is all that is needed What I dont have any doubt about is this. The FA had made the decision before they even spoke to Evra Suarez Evra gives evidence in front of VT footage of the incident being shown to him. Suarez for some reason isnt shown VT footage of the incident when giving evidence ( Blackadder Speckled Jim Stephen Fry case springs to mind, if anyone has seen that) FA = CORRUPT AS F**K
Even as a United fan I think you have to take what Keane is saying here with a pinch of salt. More often than not when Keane was charged he was done so for the right reasons lol.
They were inconsistent then? Even within individual cases they are inconsistent and dont follow protocol for the entire case. A simple direct rule would hopefully curb such inconsistencies would it not?
^^^^ A total non story. Pacheco trying to make a point to the FA? Two mates having a conversation no problem. Suarez using the same term in an aggressive way: potential problem. I cannot understand why people are not mature enough to see the difference.
He's as guilty as the day is long(with the video to prove it),if he gets away with it(which is possible)Suarez should play the racism card. Because so far only a Uruguayan has been hung out to dry while an Englishman has been treated like royalty since his case was adjourned and a self confessed Italian fascist who admitted he called a player by his skin colour in training and insists he did nothing wrong.
