He was once asked what his favourite instrument was when he was at school, he answered "the dinner bell".
Bruce's agent will be halfway to St Andrews as we speak. Until he's in them two chairs in that press conference, I won't be counting any chickens. (Which is tricky, as they go missing when Steve is around. Loves a bit of Piri-piri.)
So he's a Bruce, and a Boss? What's the odds of that? Oh he plays **** music too, I never understood his mass fan base, he cant sing for ****. Stupid americans.
I just thought it was a deviously cunning way to get another 'Bruce' thread up here that wasn't actually about Steve Bruce, so technically legit. And of course his nickname being 'The Boss' come on! It's a ready-made gift. There's layers to this comedy, layers.
West Ham, Aston Villa are 2 PL clubs rumoured to be after him as well as some clubs in europe. Maybe the delay is down to who Bruce wants to bring in and how much it will cost the Allams ? Not on the KC pies he wont have. Hopefully and to be fair Bruce does have good contacts and recruits well for whatever club he has been at.
At least Springsteen gave a donation to the British miners a few years back on strike, more than our so called celebs did.

I've got no problem with people mentioning the Allams, my point's got nothing to do with that. I don't even mind random posts, especially if it's a thread marked O/T. There are numerous posters on here however whose contributions simply spur on this ridiculous ongoing argument which it's clear no 'side' can win. The posts are just attempts to goad a response and it quickly ruins threads making people like myself trawl through relevant threads just to find nuggets of useful info and opinion! I feel like a prospecter. These are two of your earlier posts in this thread: âLuckily the fanboys made sure that if nothings said, it's because of ( ) Lawyers ( ) The sake of the Club Delete as requiredâ Followed by: âTop of the league for the whole season, promotion, winning the PL next year and the champions league the year after would not win some of the whingers on here over.â I checked this thread out to find out information about Bruce... I don't mind things going off topic and I've put up with this tedious bickering for a while now, but I've had enough and I'm guessing many others have, so I thought I'd air my concerns. I already realise the irony that you're going to reply to this and carry the whole thing on even longer... Some posters really are like a dog with a bone. Though I've got nothing to do with your argument and I aren't knocking you for being or not being 100% Allam or whatever... In fact I don't even care. I just want to stop having to read about this ongoing dispute on threads where it doesn't belong... This is a message to all posters who keep fanning the flames to this Allam 'thing' Sticky thread please!
Okay, this was done quickly so may be a bit holey in places. Steve Bruce: 1998 onwards. Final season positions. Sheffield United, 8th (2nd tier) Huddersfield, 8th (2nd tier) Crystal Palace, 19th (2nd tier). Left Palace to go to Birmingham with a 61% win ratio Birmingham, 5th (promoted) (2nd tier) Birmingham (1st tier) - 13, 12, 10, 18 (relegated) Birmingham 2nd (promoted) (2nd tier) Wigan (1st tier) 14th Wigan (1st tier) 11th Wigan (1st tier) 14th Sunderland (1st tier) 13th Sunderland (1st tier) 10th Okay, looking at that record, he hasn't done that bad to be fair. No, he isn't Alec Ferguson, but I think any other none top 5 manager would be proud of that. If he stays true to form, he could get us promoted and keep us mid-table in the PL for 3 or 4 years. Umm.. yeah, I'd take that. He is a top class manager and we are lucky to have him. End.of.story.
