ENGLAND’s Three Lions footballers roared into Poland for Euro 2012 yesterday, and hit another race storm.

Roy’s Boys had become embroiled in more scandal before their plane even touched the Tarmac as Glen Johnson was labeled a “negrito”.

Fuming fans let rip after his Liverpool team-mate Daniel Pacheco used the word in a “good luck” message.


The gaffe adds to the racism cloud hanging over the side following Rio Ferdinand’s controversial exclusion from the squad. And it comes after England’s black fans and players’ families were urged to stay away from the tournament in Poland and Ukraine for fear of racist attacks.

Spaniard Pacheco, 21, Tweeted: “@glen_johnson good luck negrito !!!!” The star later defended his actions, Tweeting: “I Allready explained in past what Negrito could mean.

“Good or bad depends how you say it. I always called @glen_johnson it in terms of love.”

He added: “Last Tweet about it. @gln glen_johnson speak spanish and he knows what that mean when I say it to him. He is one of best mates there for me.”

His Liverpool team-mate Luis Suarez, 25, was banned for eight games for repeatedly calling Patrice Evra, 31, “negrito” during a clash with Manchester United
