Trevor , I agree with you here ,I don't think it's him either , at first i thought it was my most hated Celtic player Darren Jackson .How he ever played for my team is beyond me, always recall seeing him at Ibrox with a Rangers scarf on !!!
By that reasoning, the league season hasn't started yet so how can we be expelled from that? I read about not being able to be chucked out because it hasn't started, but I don't understand it. Surely they could just stop us from playing in it once it has started.
How would that be fair on the other teams? If Rangers were suspended for say, 4 games, presumably their 4 opponents for those games are awarded the points. That wouldn't be fair to any of the other teams who wouldn't be given a guaranteed 3 points.
I know there are problems but I don't honestly think that being kicked out of the Cup is any sort of punishment, neither I suspect will the SFA. Remember, both panels said that it was at the high end of wrongdoing and the only "Crime" more serious would have been match fixing. Rangers never argued that point at any time, they simply argued that the transfer ban was not lawful/legitimate. Besides, teams have been expelled for admin errors in the past, do you really think what Rangers were found guilty of is akin to an "admin error"?
I feel that the non-payment of taxes is all bound up with the club being skint and going into admin. The club have already been fined 10 points for this which is adequate punishment in my book. As regards the non-disclosure that Whyte was banned as a director in the past, this is no more serious than an admin error. In any case, a simple inquiry to Companies House from the SFA would have revealed this fact. They're covering their arses here. As for the EBTs, any guilt or otherwise is yet to be established.
How was 10 points a punishment ??? Celtic won the league by 20 points and you finished second to get the prize money you didn't deserve
He didnt actually say that but don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Also, remember the fitter younger better etc?...
Obviously tongue and cheek, i mean commons and fitter. The only guy he could slag would be Mark Yardley.
Not according the SFA panels and as I said, Rangers never argued that point, they accepted the findings in full and accepted the serious nature of the charges.
