Looks like we're gonna need a CB then.

If he gets games, he should be good once he builds momentum. On his day, he is a class player.

Good news, it also means we will probably be getting in at least one probably 2 centre backs.

    It's on our OS too.

Adds to the job we have to do in the market, but I do think it's a good move for him as he needs more regular football to continue his development. He'll do well for Palace.

great news, don't think he will cut it at southampton but this loan will give him the best chance of doing so.

As I said a few weeks ago!

This is a great move for Maritn, and as Adkins said, it'ss great for his development as he has a long term contract here!

Adkins was glowering in praise for him (contrary to what some think)

Really good move for the lad. He needs regular games to gather experience. Personally, I think he's a possible very high quality defender, and he needs to develop his potential. This will do just that, if he gets regular starts.

Could this be a little sweetner in a possible deal in us trying to get Clyne or Zaha? Or am I just reading too much into it :D

He will cut it at Saints, he needs regular playing time to aid his development so it's a very good move for all parties.

    I've suddenly got all excited!

Would prefer Clyne but doubt anything will come of it.

Clyne is to be a free-agent, a tribunal would decided the fee as I understand it.

Unless we are going to agree a compensation package with Palace rather than take it to tribunal and AM on loan is part of that.

I think he will. He has the frame and the raw ability. With extra match time, I think he'll surprise a few people.

Martin is clearly highly rated, you only have to read Adkins interview to know that

I agree. In a couple of years time, maybe even one, he'll be pushing hard for first team spot.

Could be, but he'd be free to move to anyone else he likes. I'm sure we will be talking to him though.

Even if he improves a lot in his loan spell I think southampton's development will out pace his, leaving him with no first team opportunities. He's a decent prospect but I doubt he will ever make consistently good decisions which is needed when one mistake can cost a game.

I like the idea of Aaron getting some match playing time. He has been stagnating for the last year and needs time on the pitch.

Nigel rates him and I am wondering how we will replace him and possibly Seaborne. With Dan having missed most of the last season it will be a big jump up to our current level.

Still waiting to see who is going to be brought in for one of the most important positions, goalkeeper.
