Beefy, I'm just pointing out a fact. I have asked Dave the same question, what in management terms has Who-ton achieved more than the Dark Lord had when he took over Ipswich. I'm not saying he won't do great, but all this flapping gums about calibre is crap.

    Newcastle promoted 1st from Championship
    Newcastle 11th in PL
Birmingham 4th Championship, while Europa League and 5th round FA Cup run

    ---

    Beat that!

The difference is that Hughton is still managing top clubs and Keano is summarising BADLY on ITV

    thats all that matters, surely.

I have to admit that Hughton is the first City manager I will find it difficult to dislike even if he keeps you up.

Taking Sunderland from bottom of the championship to winning it in the same season
Finishing a full season with a newly promoted side in 15th

Wonky bor, not the colour of a man's skin but whether he is green and yellow to the core !

Got to admit, McNally doesn't let the grass grow under his feet. Much prefer Lambert in track suit, somehow he doesn't look adequate as a manager in a suit and tie. He must have thought he had gone upmarket.

  14. That, to me, would suggest that research had been done prior to Lambert's departure...<ok>

Sorry but getting Birmingham to 4th, while playing in the Europa League qualifiers and then group stages (extremely tiring for the players), getting to the 5th round of the FA Cup where they met the eventual Champions Chelsea and even forced a replay, all of this...while operating under a transfer embargo, severe lack of funds, and losing 12+ first team players, having to rely on youth to sustain the challenge.

Inspiring a relegated club to bounce back so spectacularly is an amazing acheivement, whatever league

Really strong presser! Mcnally and Hughton both look very confident and it's sent a big message to the league

This is how we do things, quick, decisive, brutal.

  19. I think all boards should have a plan in place should the manager leave. you guys have done very well to get Houghton in, he is a very good replacement for Lambert <ok>

PS - you need to change your picture now <ok>
