I quite like Glee versions of classic songs. Their interpretation of Jump by Van Halen was absolutely superb.
Here you go Eddie, enjoy

Staines It's an age thing, you tend to mellow the older you get plus you get to appreciate alot more diverse music.
Mate, i don't think you get get a more diverse CD collection than mine. Over 1500 CD's of everything from Reggae to House, Punk to Country, Opera to Ska. A different song for every memory and for every mood.
'Adagio in G Minor' (as from the film 'Gallipoli') always brings me to tears, probably 'cos it was played at my dad's funeral
Such a choice of music it still amazes me that i'm listening to music composed 3 or 400 years ago, can't say that any of todays music will still be played 300 years from now (god that makes me sound old). If you get a chance listen online to RTE Lyric FM, they play everything from classical, jazz, world, trad music, it's a brilliant station.
Here's the best of both worlds, an amazing virtuoso performance...
Sooper Not quite the kind of classical I had in mind!!!! Still try this a modern classical piece by a musical genius Also how about this, the theme music from Danish/Sweedish series The Bridge recently shown on BBC4
Better still, Barbers Adagio for Strings.....as used in Platoon and The Elephant Man......extremely moving piece of music....
Wake up lads.....we're not dead yet
