There are many fine English Ales, Directors, The Bishops Finger, Old Peculiar.............etc, etc. All infinitely better than Tennents pash. Only the continentals can make good lager beers, especially the Czech Republic. Just a shame they don't have a monarchy and can ejoy a libation whilst toasting royalty.
The only flaw in your argument is that the Belgians produce the best beers, and they have a monarchy which they toast regularly.
They make excellent beer in all sorts of strengths. Whit's that restaurant? Belgo, I think. Two menus. One menu with mussels done in different ways, another menu with all the beers. Excellent.
