I heard he used to watch Grimsby Town and has a small tattoo of them on his fat arse? Lol If he goes to Hull, maybe him and his vacuous moronic son will shut the **** up making ANY comments about his ill fated time here. The Championship is his level for sure, or the bottom of the EPL. He isnt any better than that. PS - for £4m he can have Turner.
I live 10 miles outside Sunderland and 5 miles from World Heritage City Durham in a beatiful leafy hamlet. Its fantastic thanks. Hull is a shat hole.
Youre defending Sunderland by saying its so nice you dont live there .........................lol Not over happy by this appointment (if it happens) but better then some of the names linked to us
We're supposedly honouring his contract so we don't pay him off. If true, a bigish wage off the wage bill if he moves to Hull. Fingers crossed.
How will MoN cope trying to break a team down with 11 behind the ball with no strikers to worry about
Not defending owt chum. Merely stating I live in a fantastic town and within a stones throw of a world heritage site and Hull is a cak hole and within a stones throw of **** all nice.
According to our local reporters, he has signed a 3 year deal to be confirmed tomorrow and unveiled at a press conference on Friday. Whilst he was with you, what formation did he usually play and what's his style of football? Hoof football or play it on the ground? And I would assume he'd come back to take some players to Hull so which are the most likely? I'm hoping Turner, legend at the club. Doubt Campbell will return though
To be fair to him, he had some limited success with us but ultimately found the job too big for him. He operates well in the market and will balance the books in transfers but won't pull up any trees. Preferred 1 up front with us for the last 12 to 18 months which cost us dearly but has gone with 2 prior to that. His seasons start well then you'll have consecutive second half season slumps which meant you will finished badly. He did this with Birmingham and Wigan before us. Lost his job here when he only had 2 home wins in the whole of 2011. Has the 2nd worse win ratio in SAFC history. He will be better in the championship but will have the most elaborate set of excuses you've ever heard when he loses. He likes praise but handles criticism badly. ****e in derby games as well.
I think he will go 4-4-2 with you, his 4-5-1 with us was mainly down to not having a striker after losing them all. I think he will do a very good job for you, I like the man personally but he got to the point where the fear of losing overtook the will to win, was only ever going to end one way. You could well get Tina back, doing OK for us but if we get O'Shea and Brown fit and bring in at least one more CB then at least one defender will go. You may find the odd loan deal from United coming in, he is fond of a United loan deal.
Usually the wrong one. Bruce appears to use the tactic of confusing the opposition, so if you've got an easy game that you need to win, he will put out a defensive team playing 4-6-0. If you've got a hard game that you don't want to lose, he will play an attacking formation. This plan continues with playing people out of their best positions. If he does chance upon a combination that seems to work well, you can bet he will not play it again the next week. Occasionally this results in unexpected success (beating Chelsea at their home when they were on a great streak), but generally results in long runs without a win. Good luck with him.
The right club for him and I think he will do ok - made some good signings for us (some poor ones as well) - he may struggle if he hasn't got any money to play with.
Reminds me of a mate who tells the story of once typing 'Hell' instead of 'Hull' into his Sat-Nav. He still got there.
Hull's had most of it's nicer suburbs taken away from it when Humberside was set upon us. Willerby, Anlaby, Hedon, Kirk Ella, West Ella & more are all nice areas. But the ****e telly shows & that series of crap towns books, where you obviously get your information from, conveniently missed this out. Then there's towns in East Yorkshire, like Beverley, that are very picturesque and get's alot of day trippers- tons of your lot came down for Geordie weekend at the races the other week. They seemed to enjoy the experience. Then there's the East Yorkshire Wolds & York all within 40-50 minutes away, and of course the coast. And if you like heritage then all things i've put have them in abundance. Every City has bad parts. Back to Bruce, think he'll do well here as long as the Barmby saga doesn't roll on over the summer and into next season. That's if Bruce signs that is.
I lived in Scarborough for a few years and worked Hull, yep some crap parts but TBH I liked Hull, never got why it gets so much stick.
