about time he really ought to have chucked it with kenny but i epxect there was a pay off to negotiate. best of luck there buddy...
Humm. Not sure on that one. Granted our defence was an abomination at the end of the season - but we did lose Agger and generally capitulated. Before then it was rock solid. However if Rodgers needs this to happen to succeed, then so be it.
Don't think there was a pay off - he gave his resignation when Kenny left but it was turned down, so 2 weeks later I doub't they would have sacked him and paid to do it as well.
It would be interesting if he can hack it as a manager, seems to have been tipped to be one forever. Big loss to us I feel, a massive part in our upturn must go to Clarke and especially for the way Skrtel seems to have improved. Wish him all the best!
It's a shame to see a good coach go - he did well with our defence however, you could argue that we struggled without Agger so maybe he didn't do as good a job as we think. Wish him all the best.
If they rejected his resignation and then chose to sack him two weeks later then Clarke would absolutely be entitled to a pay off. However, with Clarke having already offered his resignation, he may well well chosen to walk away.
Good luck to him, thought he said he didn't fancy being a manager...would be interesting to see how he does at WBA.
