I agree with you a lot of the time ruff but not on this issue, I think if you ask fans of other clubs they'll agree Mata is better. Like I said previously, different positions too.

Still not in Drogba's class, when it comes to play acting. Believe it or not the bookies were actually taking bets on how many times Drogba would require the physio before the away leg against Barca.*

Every team has cheats, this is as good as a fact, so I don't see the point in ridiculing other teams players for it, unless your going to ridicule your own players aswell:biggrin:*

They aren't really a like for like comparison so it is irrelevant really. People's judgement will be clouded by the fact that Young had a couple of incidents of diving also but next season will be a better bet to see how both players impact on the clubs. Any stats anyone fancies quoting are only relevant based on a full season in the same league.

In exactly the same way as it is impossible to decide who is better between Hazard and Kagawa, for every Chelsea fan who says Hazard there will be a United fan who says Kagawa. We'll see next season.

Incidently, Kagawa and Hazard play in exactly the same position - either 'in the hole' or on the left (Hazard can also play on the right). I'm excited by this transfer. We were linked with him last summer but were priced out of a transfer. He's only cheap (relatively) now because he's in the last year of his contract and didn't want to sign a new one. If you were to compare him to another player, it would probably be Scholes (in terms of style of play) but with better defensive abilities. Definitely makes up for missing out on Hazard and he's certainly not the poor man's option.

Kagawa has been a highly rated player around Europe for the past 2 seasons, whereas people have only really become excited about Hazard this season. In that sense, Kagawa in the more experienced out of the two and I feel in the immediate future he will have more success and make a bigger impact. Hazard appears to have a lot more raw talent, and as long as he can fulfil his potential, looks set to be a much better player in the long term. However, Hazard has more flair, something we (United) have been severely lacking since Ronaldo left. Nani is pretty much our only flair player, and he seems to spend long spells on the injury table.

Of course, I'm not as biased as some United fans. I'll be the first to say Drogba is a serial diver, Sturridge has also gone down very easily aswell this season but Matth said Nani, Young, Rooney and Hernandez ALL stay on their feet and Lampard (of all ****ing people) dives, that is biased personified right there.

Unless you have watched the French league and German league, week in week out for the past 2 years, how can you possibly say who is the better player out of Hazard or Kagawa ? All I know from the few clips and matches that I have seen, they both look like decent players and I will reserve my judgement until the end of next season. I must say though that I was put off Hazard when he was making lots of noises before Chelski finally signed him and I think it says a lot about him as a person ( and the reason that he eventually signed for Chelski ) when he said in a recent statement that he had talked to the main men at both clubs before making his decision, namely Alex Ferguson and Roman Abromovich !!!!! The only difference I can see between both players at the moment is that we have paid 20 million less for our purchase.

I think this circular argument is a bit irrelevant to be honest!

Nobody knows who will be the better acquisition and trying to score points using stats, attitude and price tags is a bit nonsensical until they have both played a while in the PL.

The stats are irrelevant because everything has changed regarding both players stats, i.e. opposition, team-mates, the way they are played etc etc

The attitude is irrelevant because attitude can/can not be a plus, Hazard's attitude might serve him well whereas Kagawa's more humble attitude might see him be less of an influence...and vice versa.

The price tag imo doesn't matter, you either pay the price or you don't get your man. Chelsea may have paid over the odds but that won't matter if Hazard is successful, whereas United may have got a steal but again, that won't matter if he flops...

I doubt that will happen, this forum seems a lot more relaxed, which is a good thing!

I was banned from JA606 cos I pointed out the stats that more United fans had been banned from the ground for racially abusive offences than Liverpool fans. The Admins said I was being aggressive by pointing this out, even though I was factually correct in what I was saying...I challenged the Admins and they then banned me saying this is not what they want to have on their forum. Fair enough, it's okay for them to allow people to call Suarez and Liverpol fans racist as much as they want, but if you point out the inconsistencies they ban you!! <ok>

That's because racially abusing people isn't seen as a bad thing at Liverpool unless its fans from other clubs.

I have never seen either Hazard nor Kagawa play but I am looking forward to seeing the latter at Man Utd next season.
