Nah, they are the sorts of team who would be good for Bruce. He is of their level. I think his level is top of championship/bottom of premier league. Anything higher and he shouldn't be there. We outgrew him, which is why he had to leave. When we got him, we were his level. He got us to where he couldn't get us further, so he left. A team like Hull who could be in the premier league (or constantly challenging for it) and thats his level.
Won,t be long before they find some humberside roots in his ancestary so he has an excuse when they sack him
Thankyou Syd and Gil, some people have short memories. Sure, he was't good enough for us at the end, but that is testament to how far he got us. I remember the dark days of Wilkinson, Mick Mac (although not largely his fault, he had no money), and the end of Reidy's era. He isn't the most tactically gifted coach, but he is good enough for the likes of Wigan, B'Ham, Hull, QPR etc. He just has to realise this and get on with it.
He'll do alright there. No offence but a novice like Barmby nearly got them to the play offs so Bruce will be aiming top 6 and id fancy them to get it
Coming from someone from Sunderland, it's a bit rich. Nowts happened yet, probably another few weeks until he says yes or no to the offer. Birmingham might be after a manager soon.
He'll do okay at Hull for the first season then it'll be pies at dawn after the first few games of the second season, he'll get sick blame everyone but himself then get sacked with a nice big payoff which if the papers etc. are correct they can't really afford.
wonder what reception he'd get if we drew hull at home in 1 of the cups? providing he takes the job of course
