Rumour going around that Leicester are going to bid kasper + 1 mill for Lonergan.which would give us 1 mill to buy a new first choice keeper.
Well since a club as small as Leeds United needs to sell before it can buy in order to compete with the likes of giants like Blackpool and Bristol City, I'm sure it's our only option!
wouldn't be surprised if he joins. He's probably on about 5-8k at leeds and if he joins bolton they'll give him 15k.
He hasn't been as good in the second half of the season (remind you of any other goalkeeper we had, I don't know, about a year ago) but he still has been better than anyone we have had in recent years and I'd still prefer him to Kenny. If we are to sign a keeper, he needs to be class. No point spending money on a keeper of the same quality and getting rid of Lonergan. Its pointless
I would put him in the top 8 for the division. Next season I hope we don't need a keeper who is as exposed as Lonergan has been. He sure has had plenty of practice being between the sticks with the shambles in front of him.
Last season I got the feeling we thought that Keiren Westwood was in the bag when we cashed in on junior. I just hope that we do not get left in the same boat this year.
Westwood was always going to the Prem, we were never after him. Kenny will be fine at Championship level, still a good keeper. Just need to make sure we have a solid back line in place.
Westwood was our first choice last season. But Sunderland came in and he couldn't wait to leave so we ended up with Kasper. Funny how things turn out
They are after Mills from us too, looks like they are building from the back? I think they will be a good bet to return to the PL. Seems like money is not a problem.
