How is it deluded? We are streets ahead of you, let's not pretend otherwise just because we're biased. In fact, you're the deluded one for predicting that you will all of a sudden turn into this great mid-upper part of the table team, with a manager who so far has done no better than Bruce (yes, I know it's not his team, I actually rate O'Neill but it's gonna take time).

And that just stinks of clutching straws.

Oh dear. 2 years ago the craas were not even in our league. They have one wonder season and all of a sudden they are Real Madrid.

Still, it will make their fall from grace so much more enjoyable. I'll give it till October before wee David Craig is up with live coverage of the latest cockney mafia out protests. Lol

There isn't a finer sight than a barcode crying into the Sky cameras. Lol

Its going to happen. Its been happening for 30 years on and off. Your lot cant help but make bell ends of yourselves in front of the watching national TV channels.

You are the original go to "lets piss ourselves wet laughing at them" club.

And it must be killing you that such a terrible club are so many miles ahead of your laughing stock.
End of the day, we're over-achieving, on our budget and structure, as long as we aren't in relegation scraps, no one can "piss themselves wet laughing at us."

End of the day, Shola Ameobi has more European goals than Sunderland, it ain't us who are the laughing stock.

Miles ahead. 1 exceptional season and as I say your lot cant resist giving it the big I am. Has history not shown you anything either? You have finished above us once in 4 years, indeed the gap was so big in our favour 2 years ago that we werent even on the same TV channel for 10 months. Lol

I look forward to watching how things turn out in the 2012/13 season. I'll be happy to remind you of your new so called 'superclub' status as it unfolds.

This is more like it. I've had enough of this "haven't the mags done well" malarkey. I know they have, but still.

More proper banter like this is a refreshing change.

Up yours, BTW Cheik. You're going to struggle in the Europa and Pardew's going to get the boot off Fat Mike.

I love the sound of a well-reasoned argument in the afternoon...

It's not just about 1 league position, it's our whole club setup aswell. You lot are so worried, that when making North East XI's, you try to tell yourself Clattermole is better than Tiote, pray that Europe will destroy us, hope our manager will get sacked. Other clubs laugh at your straw clutching nature. Most of your North-East XI's had more Sunderland players than NUFC ffs, and yet you still call us deluded? <doh> <doh> <doh>

But it's no problem for me, keep mugging yourself off with moronic statements and we will continue to laugh at you. How many points from the last 8 games again?
Enjoy your party with marty in the bottom halfy <ok>

Who would benefit from Pardew being sacked? No one, no matter how well we are performing. I sense that you are almost as much of a straw clutcher as Cest.

Not clutching at straws at all. Merely chucking a few, slightly illogical, partisan barbs your way. You see your lot will definitely have no legs in the second half of the season due to excessive globe-trotting and the Cest-predicted collapse will then come to pass. Fat Mike will lose it with AP as he doesn't appreciate anything other than his bottom line and the big boys will be sniffing around your better players come January. A late slide will only just stop before the end of the season and you'll be knocked out of the Cup by Boro.

It's all in me tea leaves.

Cestria's comments are tantamount to Hansen's rambling truffle.

You can actually see the desperation in your words Cest. Consider the passion elements of the game i.e. on paper City will win everything, but football isn't played on paper is it? It's played on grass, and on grass, just like you showed at the council house, anything can happen. This disregarded element of football leaves people wondering just how Chelsea lifted that trophy in Munich, why did Barca not beat 10 men, 6th place Chelsea? How did United flop the title away against Wigan? It's not just this season either, how did Fulham paste Juventus to get to the Europa final? What the hell happened at Euro 2004?

It's all on paper, mostly chequebook paper for you though isn't it Cest? I'll be here to politely remind you of your delusional shortcomings next season when City have not (and I guarantee you they won't) ran away from United.

If Cest predicts something, with his track record, it makes me all the more certain it won't happen.

Your pro-Man U agenda is far too obvious, more subtlety next time.

Whats the point of passing off someones predictions, no matter how biased, outlandish etc.

    In this case:

A prediction that NUFC will struggle as a result of Yewrope.

It means you can't have an opinon yourself.

    What is the point??

I have never said anything of the sort. I simply ask for some foundation to people's opinions.
