...what are the first things you'd do? My first instinct would obviously to fist-pump wildly and hold an improvized rendition of 'let's go ****ing mental' in my living room with family and friends, before possibly heading down to Town/Elland Road to join the other Whites fans in celebrating the departure of Bates with some alcoholic refreshments. Secondly, I'd get myself a membership for next season and one of the non-Macron club polo shirts, and eagerly await the fixture list so I could actually plan home games without feeling guilty for funding Bates! Then I'd get excited over the summer about actually signing some good players, and would probably bore you lot with a load of hopeful centre-aligned line-ups on here. GOD HOW I HOPE IT HAPPENS.
I think this means a lot more to you than it does me I still stand by the opinion that Bates' isn't as bad as what you think. Admittedly its definitely time for a change but until knowing who and what they are like its premature celebrations
No. I think bates is a useless, incompetent buffoon who should never have been allowed anywhere near that much power.
Just a hint: I think he is referring to the negativity that is displayed in my single post compared to the negativity that is displayed in every single one of your posts rather than the opinions that I share
Hope that our targets change and that we sign James Chester giving some Leeds fans on here the last laugh over a few of the Hull board who were on here the other week.
I'm with Josh on all this. Yes, we'd like to see Bates go & someone come in with serious money to help us push on. But as Cardiff have just found out, we should be careful what we wish for. Imagine the repercussions of new owners from, say, China also wanting to change the colour of our home strip. Imagine if we were landed with a red strip!!! The earful some of ours give Bates on a regular basis would be as nothing to such an occurrance at ER. That said, I'd be quietly happy knowing I could look forward to my first trip to ER next season & all the away games I might get to in the knowledge that its RIGHT TEAM, RIGHT TIME ,OUR TIME for promotion.
Once Bates has gone, we have a new era and a new future. I'd renew my and my son's season tickets (as long as prices came down, like the new QPR owners did - was it QPR?) and I'd look forward to our main players signing revised contracts
On the same note Elmo, there's no way Snoddy will sign a new contract until the takeover business is sorted one way or the other and you can't blame him tbf.
Obviously, but I think if there isn't a takeover he's not signing it. On the other hand if there is a takeover and it gets sorted quickly I think he will sign.
Really? huh, I didn't realise that he once didn't hate Bates more than anything else in the world. Must've been a long time ago I suppose
It comes across in his quotes. I think his attitude is the same as the fans'; he loves the club but can't put up with Bates any more.
