You quote my post, so you must have read it, yet you come up with that drivel. I will repeat it again. I don't care about your career or qualifications! This is a football forum! You will get far more respect on this forum if you don't talk about your career, qualifications or anything similar. You don't see me trying to win arguments by saying I got to uni in Cambridge!
He's working for the UN.Whenever there is some spat going on in the world they wheel out Banksy.Look I have a lot of experience with BS merchants and have a finely tuned radar for them.I can tell you davrid is genuine.
at alan hansen. who says he knows nothing about football...? https://twitter.com/Football_Tweet_/status/210297153313189888/photo/1 ok, so predicting that three teams all competing in the same group will make the semi finals isn't great....
Christ, just a lazy pundit. Heard he get's 50k a show and he comes up with the same old crap every single game. I used to like him and thought he talked sense, god knows why.
Morning all, hows it hanging? Can i just say, what is it with all of this clamour for Chris Hughton? what has he actually done. He took a side that was far too good for the championship into the premier league, which to be fair even the Dark Lord could have done! done ok, but not anything to write home about in the premier league, and when pardew took over elevated them to the next level. then took a good birmingham side that should have been competing for an automatic spot, and got them playing horrible long ball football and they didn't get even close to returning to the premier league. To my mind, he is hardly fantastic and if you have to pay 2.5 million for him it is baffling. to my mind you should have gone to either promote culverhouse or gone for somebody like holloway who really have achieved something special.
he knows what he's talking about when talking about defending, i'll give him that, but otherwise its all about liverpool or manchester united... otherwise he doesn't care
so you don't rate hughton but you think culverhouse or holloway are better options? not too sure what holloways achievements are that are so much better than hughtons - i'd say they are actually fairly similar, except hughton appears to be better tactically. your knowledge of newcastle's promotion campaign is null and you claim birmingham were never close to promotion? i think you're confusing them with ipswich. go away guru - you're just embarrassing yourself. its also incredibly noticeable that apart from one norwich fan, and one or two who aren't 100% but still like him, every single fan of our club and others have praised this appointment. all that is except the ipswich fans... funny that! also guru, as i'd love to know, do you think hughton is a better manager than paul jewell?
Why are there so many ex liverpool pundits? No balance at all. Cracking prediction though, hard to disagree with him
in ten years time, i bet you find most pundits have a man untied connection. the media are drawn to people who have had success. no problem with that at all, i just feel the likes of lawrenson and hansen (less so) have had their day and should be replaced.
Agreed Rosenior hardly had success but he is in my opinion the BBC's best pundit yet is incredibly underused.
Well that has already started with Gary Neville on sky. It would be nice if they mixed it up a bit as often it is the players outside the "big" clubs who have more insight. I will keep dreaming but doubt it will ever happen. It is easy to have knowledge of the top teams as there is so much coverage of them, but few pundits have any knowledge of those below them, they just comment based on MOTD highlights.
yes, i like leroy. talks sense and has great knowledge of the game across all the levels, especially the football league. but he didn't win any major honours, so he will never get accepted on the match of the day sofa. mind you, robbie savage never won much but he is doing ok. so it seems if you act like a pillock or win loads then you can appear on motd! jason roberts has been ok too - he's never won anything of note! i'm starting to lose my own argument
How's it hanging for you in the Championship with probably a bigger wage bill than us and a ton of has beens at your disposal?
supers, supers, supers. All i'm saying is i can't see why the huge clamour for him. he hasn't really been tested by having (and don't take it the wrong way) a side whose primary objective is to scrap into 17th place, he has always been in sides (even in newcastles first season back) where mid table is deemed to be ok. Holloway took an fancied side, whose chairman holds the funds back to the premier league, almost kept them there by playing a fantastic style and then without major investment and the selling of their star player last time almost back to the premier league. If i had a choice of Jewell or Hughton i would pick PJ because he (even with all his faults) has experienced the tough side of management rather than everything being given to him on a plate, if i had a choice between PJ or Holloway, i would have Holloway every single time without question.
I think Lee Dixon is one of the best, always talks sense and not obsessed with the big teams. I don't mind Jason Roberts either.
if guru thought that birmingham were an easy ride last season then he needs to wake up. they were predicted by many to drop straight through the championship, such was the financial woes. he's had a transfer embargo at the club during his entire reign! he lost 15 first team squad members! they played 70-odd matches last season which included traveling in europe... honestly, the fact they nearly went up is astonishing!
my biggest issue if i was you guys, is it worth paying the 2.5 million compo really worth it? do you think that hughton could do that much of a better job than say culverhouse who knows the players, board and ethos and success that lambert brought to the club.
